- • As a Licensed Sales Agent (Property & Casualty, Personal Lines) at Kin Insurance, you will play a pivotal role in helping homeowners protect their most valuable assets by converting high-intent inbound leads into long-term policyholders through consultative, trust-based sales. This role is central to Kin’s mission of making homeowners insurance simpler, more affordable, and better — especially in underserved or high-risk markets — by leveraging data, technology, and human-centered service to deliver clear, fair coverage when customers need it most.
- • You will engage with potential customers via phone, email, and text to understand their unique home insurance needs, clearly communicate the value of Kin’s tailored P&C products, and guide them toward optimal coverage solutions that protect their homes and financial well-being. Your focus will be on closing sales with confidence and empathy, using qualified leads provided by Kin’s marketing team — eliminating the need for prospecting so you can concentrate entirely on building relationships and driving conversions.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets through effective follow-up, active listening, and consultative selling techniques; simplifying complex insurance concepts for customers; partnering with underwriters and customer service teams to ensure seamless policy issuance from inquiry to bind; and maintaining accurate records in CRM systems while managing multiple platforms simultaneously.
- • You will operate within a structured shift schedule (either 9:00 AM–6:00 PM CST or 11:00 AM–8:00 PM CST, Monday–Friday) with a rotating Saturday shift every 4–6 weeks, supported by an 8+ week paid training program beginning May 4, 2026, designed to equip you with product knowledge, sales methodologies, and compliance expertise.
- • Kin Insurance is a remote-first, purpose-driven company serving homeowners in 13+ states and growing, recognized as a top workplace by Built In Chicago, Forbes, Inc., and Great Places to Work. The company fosters a culture of ownership, innovation, lean operations, and continuous learning — where employees are empowered to challenge industry norms, take initiative, and contribute meaningfully to both customer outcomes and organizational success.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in property and casualty insurance sales, refine consultative communication and negotiation skills, master CRM and telephony platforms, and build a track record of high performance in a metrics-driven environment — positioning you for career advancement, increased earnings through uncapped commissions, and potential leadership opportunities within Kin’s rapidly scaling sales organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • Active Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license in your state of residence
- • Minimum 6 months of P&C insurance sales experience in a fast-paced environment (homeowners, auto, or call center preferred)
- • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets through consultative selling and customer relationship building
- • Proficiency with CRM systems and telephone software, including managing multiple platforms simultaneously
- • Availability to work one of two shifts (9:00 AM–6:00 PM CST or 11:00 AM–8:00 PM CST, Monday–Friday) and a rotating Saturday shift every 4–6 weeks
- • Completion of mandatory 8+ week paid training period starting May 4, 2026
🏖️ Benefits
- • On-target earnings (OTE) starting at $88,000 with uncapped commissions, including a $40,000 base salary and $4,000 annual bonus tied to policy attainment
- • Comprehensive benefits package: medical, dental, vision, life, short- and long-term disability, Employee Assistance Program, and voluntary benefits (accident, hospital indemnity, critical illness, legal, pet insurance)
- • 401(k) plan with up to 4% company match, company equity via RSUs, and 11 days accrued PTO, 7 paid sick days, and 8 paid company holidays
- • Generous parental leave: 14 weeks for birthing parents, 8 weeks for non-birthing parents
- • Access to professional development, career mobility opportunities, referral bonuses, and recognition programs including President’s Club (Top 15 agents), milestone awards, and the Terry Berry Perks Program
