📋 Description

  • Katapult Labs, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance & Operations Analyst to act as the CEO's right hand, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the business across all non-commercial facets. This pivotal role is designed for an individual who thrives in a high-growth environment, taking ownership of critical financial and operational processes to support the company's scaling trajectory. You will be instrumental in maintaining financial health, driving operational execution, and providing essential visibility and control, allowing the founding team to concentrate on product innovation and market growth. This is a hands-on position with significant responsibility, encompassing financial analysis, daily operational management, light legal coordination, and systems oversight. You will not merely track metrics; you will actively contribute to the strategic decisions that shape the company's future. This role offers a unique opportunity to function as an operating analyst with direct access to the CEO and unparalleled exposure to the intricacies of building a consumer brand from its inception.
  • In this dynamic role, your day-to-day responsibilities will be diverse and impactful. You will be tasked with meticulously maintaining and updating the company's comprehensive financial model, which spans both Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) and Business-to-Business (B2B) operations across Spain and the United States. This includes rigorously tracking cash flow, runway, profit margins, and unit economics, culminating in the preparation of detailed monthly reporting packages for the CEO and the Board of Directors. A significant part of your role will involve coordinating the monthly financial close process for both Spanish and US entities, ensuring accurate reconciliation of accounts, diligent tracking of intercompany transactions, and seamless liaison with external accounting firms to guarantee fiscal compliance in both jurisdictions. You will also actively monitor bank balances and cash positions across various platforms, including Santander, Revolut Business, and Mercury, proactively flagging any potential liquidity risks. Furthermore, you will provide crucial support to the CEO in managing working capital and navigating financing relationships with entities such as ENISA, Shopify Capital, and revolving credit facilities.
  • Operationally, you will manage the relationship with our third-party logistics (3PL) provider, meticulously tracking Service Level Agreements (SLAs), lead times, shipping rates, and overall delivery performance. This involves close coordination with the manufacturer regarding order placements, production timelines, and the swift resolution of any arising issues. Your responsibilities extend to overseeing the customer support function across multiple channels, including email, WhatsApp, and Instagram. You will monitor key service performance indicators (KPIs), manage and resolve customer escalations, and critically, translate recurring customer pain points into actionable insights for product and operational improvements. As the primary point of contact for external law firms in both Spain and the US, you will track the progress of trademark applications in various international markets (EU, UK, MX, CO), maintain an organized repository of all contracts, and ensure the meticulous upkeep of the company's capitalization table and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) records. Finally, you will take ownership of the company's entire tool stack, ensuring all systems operate smoothly, onboarding new tools as required, and maintaining a high standard of data integrity and documentation across all business functions.
  • You will be an integral part of a small, high-caliber team characterized by a culture of high ownership and minimal bureaucracy. This collaborative environment fosters daily interaction with the VP of Growth and the VP of Brand & Partnerships, offering a unique opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and contribute to strategic decision-making. This role provides an exceptional platform for professional growth, allowing you to deepen your expertise in financial modeling, operational efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration within a fast-paced, scaling consumer brand. You will gain invaluable experience in managing diverse operational challenges, from financial compliance and liquidity management to supply chain optimization and customer experience enhancement. The exposure to C-suite level discussions and direct involvement in key business decisions will significantly accelerate your career development, equipping you with a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to build and scale a successful consumer business from the ground up. This is a role where your contributions will be directly visible and highly valued, offering a clear path for impact and advancement.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in finance and operations, coupled with a proactive and analytical mindset. You should be comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting to rapidly shifting priorities, a common characteristic of high-growth startup environments. The ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations is paramount. A key aspect of this role is the utilization of AI tools to enhance productivity and analytical capabilities, reflecting an AI-forward approach to problem-solving. You will be expected to bring structure to dynamic situations, implementing processes and documentation that ensure accuracy and efficiency. The role demands a native-level proficiency in Spanish and a fluent command of English to effectively communicate with international partners, accountants, and investors. This is an opportunity to make a tangible impact on a growing company, contributing directly to its financial stability and operational excellence while developing a broad and deep skill set in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
