Your primary objective will be to proactively identify, engage, and secure new business opportunities through strategic networking, targeted cold calling, and cultivating relationships with multiple contacts within these complex ecosystems.
- • As a trusted advisor, you will manage and nurture existing customer relationships, employing a consultative sales approach to deliver unparalleled account management services. This involves deeply understanding your clients' strategic goals, operational challenges, and security concerns, and then aligning GuidePoint's comprehensive portfolio of cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions and services to effectively address them. You will act as a bridge, connecting client needs with the innovative offerings of our technology partners, ensuring optimal outcomes and risk mitigation.
- • Your success will be measured by your ability to consistently meet and exceed ambitious sales and profitability targets. This requires a strategic mindset, exceptional prospecting skills, and a relentless drive to expand GuidePoint's footprint within the DoW/DoD and Special Programs markets. You will be responsible for managing your sales pipeline meticulously, utilizing Salesforce and other CRM tools to track leads, opportunities, and customer interactions, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of sales forecasts and pipeline status.
- • A key aspect of this role involves actively participating in industry organizations such as ISSA, ISACA, OWASP, INSA, and AFCEA. This includes understanding the nuances of government contracting and procurement processes within the DoW/DoD and Special Programs sectors.
- • A critical responsibility is to develop and maintain a deep understanding of GuidePoint Security's technology partners and their respective product offerings. You will be adept at articulating the unique value proposition of these solutions to clients, demonstrating how they can address specific security challenges and enhance their overall security posture. Your ability to effectively represent GuidePoint Consultants and articulate our diverse areas of expertise will be paramount to building trust and credibility.
- • Setting and managing client expectations throughout the sales process is vital. You will maintain open and transparent communication with clients and vendors, ensuring a smooth and positive experience from initial contact through to deal closure and beyond. This includes providing timely updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- • Collaboration and teamwork are essential. You will effectively leverage supporting resources within GuidePoint Security, including technical specialists, solution architects, and other sales professionals, fostering a spirit of cooperation to achieve collective success. Your ability to work seamlessly with internal teams will be a key differentiator.
- • You will be expected to professionally develop and deliver impactful sales presentations to diverse audiences, ranging from large groups to executive-level clients. Your presentation skills must be polished, persuasive, and tailored to the specific needs and interests of each audience, clearly conveying the value and benefits of GuidePoint's offerings.
- • This role demands a proactive approach to lead generation and opening new accounts. You must demonstrate a verifiable history of exceeding sales goals and a proven ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities within the federal sector, particularly within the DoW/DoD and Special Programs communities.
- • Experience selling professional services, security audits, and assessments is highly advantageous, as these often form a core component of the solutions provided to government clients. Your ability to understand and articulate the value of these services will be a significant asset.
