- • Maltese Interpreter role at LanguageLine Solutions provides essential language access services, enabling limited-English speakers and the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing to communicate effectively across critical sectors such as healthcare, government, law enforcement, and emergency services.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include responding promptly to on-demand interpreting calls, accurately rendering meaning between Maltese and English speakers, maintaining professionalism and neutrality during sensitive or high-stress interactions (including 911 calls), and adhering to industry-specific protocols in fields like medical, legal, and finance.

🎯 Requirements
- • Fluency in Maltese and English with understanding of cultural dynamics
- • Ability to remain neutral, objective, and detached during sensitive or emotionally charged conversations
- • High school diploma or equivalent and legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- • Access to a quiet, secure workspace and reliable high-speed internet (minimum 5 Mbps download, 3 Mbps upload)
- • Proficiency with Windows, MacOS, ChromeOS, iOS, or Android devices; restricted use of Kaspersky software and Huawei hardware
- • Preferred: education or experience in teaching, translation, interpretation, or language assessment; ability to read and write in Maltese and English
