📋 Description

  • As the inaugural Manager of Account Management at Haus Technologies Inc., you will establish and lead a new function critical to driving customer retention, gross renewal rate, and expansion across a growing B2B SaaS business. This role is foundational—you will build the team, processes, and operating model from the ground up while initially managing a subset of strategic accounts directly, with the goal of scaling into full-time team leadership as the function matures.
  • You will hire, onboard, coach, and retain a high-performing team of 4–6 Account Managers, setting clear expectations, conducting regular 1:1s and pipeline reviews, and fostering an environment where team members can do their best work. You will own the team’s collective quota for retention, renewal, and expansion—including cMMM upsells and future product launches—and be directly accountable for hitting or exceeding these targets.
  • You will design and implement the Account Management operating model at Haus, including account planning frameworks, renewal and expansion playbooks, QBR/EBR templates, health scoring systems, and forecasting cadences. You will establish clear rules of engagement between Account Management, Measurement Strategy, Sales, CX, and Product to ensure customers experience a coordinated, high-value partnership.
  • You will maintain direct involvement in high-stakes renewals, expansions, and escalations, guiding AMs on deal strategy, stakeholder mapping, multi-threading, pricing, and negotiation—especially for complex accounts with competing buyer personas or budget constraints. You will partner closely with Measurement Strategy leadership to align AMs and their counterparts as unified account teams, sharing context and presenting a cohesive front to customers.
  • You will collaborate with Sales leadership on handoff processes, territory design, and GTM planning, and work with Product and CX to feed customer insights into the roadmap and service model. You will create visibility and rigor by maintaining accurate forecasts, pipeline views, and account health dashboards, providing Sales and company leadership with reliable data on renewal and expansion performance.
  • You will use data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across the book, translating insights into team-wide actions. You will operate in a fast-moving, ambiguous, high-growth environment where building while running is expected, and you will lead with context, intellectual honesty, and a bias toward action—surfacing problems early and making decisions with imperfect information to drive continuous improvement.

  • What the person can learn or achieve in this role: You will have the rare opportunity to build a critical post-sales function from scratch at a high-growth, VC-backed startup, shaping the operating model, culture, and scalability of Account Management at Haus. You will develop deep expertise in marketing measurement, incrementality, and cMMM while honing your leadership, strategic thinking, and cross-functional influence. Success in this role will position you as a key architect of Haus’s go-to-market engine, with direct impact on customer retention, expansion, and long-term revenue predictability—setting the stage for advancement into broader GTM or general management leadership.

🎯 Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of experience in account management, customer success, or post-sales roles in B2B SaaS, with at least 2–3 years directly managing a team of quota-carrying AMs or CSMs.
  • Proven track record of building or scaling an AM/CS function—designing processes, playbooks, and operating cadences, not just inheriting them.
  • Demonstrated history of hitting or exceeding team-level retention and expansion targets, with ability to inspect pipelines, coach deals, and call forecasts accurately.
  • Experience working with marketing, growth, or analytics buyers, including credible engagement with senior marketing and data science stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial instinct in structuring renewals, sequencing expansion conversations, navigating procurement, and handling discount pressure without sacrificing margin.
  • Ability to partner effectively with technical and strategic counterparts (e.g., data science, measurement, analytics teams) and translate technical value into commercial outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication skills—able to present to executives, coach teams on storytelling with data, and write crisp account plans or internal briefs.
  • High ownership and comfort operating in a fast-moving, ambiguous, high-growth environment where building while running is required.
