- • Lead the discovery, architecture, and development of high-impact, scalable source of truth data marts and data products for HackerOne’s DataOne team.
- • Drive the continuous evolution and innovation of data infrastructure by identifying and leading cross-functional technical and product initiatives.
- • Deliver consistent impact within 60 days by contributing to company-level data products and within 90 days by owning the roadmap for iterative launches of data marts.
- • Act as a technical paragon and cross-functional force multiplier, autonomously determining focus areas and solving ambiguous business challenges in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.
- • Champion high standards for data quality including discoverability, usability, reliability, timeliness, consistency, validity, uniqueness, simplicity, completeness, integrity, security, and compliance.
- • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to foster a culture of continuous learning, growth, and accountability within the data engineering squad.
- • Collaborate across departments to enhance data-driven decision-making and align data products with business objectives and customer outcomes.
- • Implement industry best practices and adopt emerging technologies to advance HackerOne’s Enterprise Data & AI mission of democratizing source of truth information and AI tooling.
- • Work with a technology stack including Python, Airflow, Snowflake, DBT, Meltano, Fivetran, Looker, and AWS to build and optimize data pipelines and analytics solutions.
- • Design and deliver compelling data stories using visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, Sigma, Domo, or PowerBI to enable actionable insights across the organization.
- • Operate within a flexible remote work model targeted for candidates within ~50 miles of Boston, MA; Austin, TX; or Washington, DC, with opportunities for occasional in-person collaboration.
- • Contribute to shaping the strategic vision for data at HackerOne by aligning data initiatives with company-wide goals and customer obsession principles.
- • Support the adoption of Agile and iterative development processes to ensure rapid, responsive delivery of data products.
- • Ensure data systems are secure, compliant, and aligned with regulatory and operational requirements across global operations.
- • Engage with business applications such as Salesforce, Clari, Gainsight, Workday, GitLab, Slack, or Freshservice to integrate and enrich data sources.
- • Present data-driven narratives verbally, in presentations, and in writing to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- • Foster transparency, inclusion, and accountability in alignment with HackerOne’s core values of Customer Obsession, Default to Disclosure, and Win Together.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years experience as an Analytics Engineer, Business Intelligence Engineer, or similar role with proven track record of launching source of truth data marts
- • 3+ years in a leadership role managing data engineering teams or initiatives
- • Extensive experience with Airflow, Snowflake, Meltano, Fivetran, DBT, and AWS
- • Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation in a fast-paced environment
- • Strong proficiency in data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, Sigma, Domo, or PowerBI
- • Proven track record of driving substantial company-wide impact through data products and initiatives
