Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Lead two high-impact squads—Integrations and Customer Features—at one of North America’s fastest-growing SaaS companies. You will own the full SDLC for systems that process millions of background-check transactions, ensuring every API handshake, webhook, and UI flow is bullet-proof and delightful.
- • Coach and mentor 12-16 engineers across two teams. Run weekly 1:1s, quarterly performance reviews, and career-pathing sessions that turn raw talent into senior leaders. Build a culture where psychological safety and radical candor coexist.
- • Translate ambitious product roadmaps into executable engineering plans. Partner with PMs and designers to break epics into sprint-sized stories, balance tech-debt against new features, and ship value to customers every two weeks.
- • Architect scalable, secure, and observable solutions on Azure (primary) and AWS (secondary). Define patterns for micro-services, event-driven pipelines, and multi-tenant data isolation that keep us compliant with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
- • Roll up your sleeves and code when the team needs a spike, a hot-fix, or a proof-of-concept. Expect to touch Python/C# on the back-end and TypeScript/React on the front-end roughly 20 % of your time.
- • Champion DevOps best practices: containerize with Docker, orchestrate with Kubernetes, deploy with Helm + ArgoCD, and provision with Terraform. Drive a “you build it, you run it” mindset that shrinks MTTR and boosts deployment frequency.
- • Remove blockers before they become fires. Whether it’s a flaky test suite, a gnarly vendor API change, or a skills gap, you diagnose quickly and act decisively—escalating only when strategic decisions are required.
- • Evangelize continuous improvement. Run blameless post-mortems, introduce DORA metrics, and experiment with new tools (AI-assisted code review, feature flags, progressive delivery) that keep Certn on the cutting edge.
- • Act as the technical face of the integrations portfolio to Fortune-500 partners and customers. Present architecture diagrams, negotiate SLAs, and translate business requirements into engineering tasks that the team can rally behind.
- • Influence company-level technical strategy. Sit on the Architecture Guild, contribute to the quarterly OKR cycle, and ensure that every line of code moves us closer to our vision of “The World’s Easiest Background Check.”
- • Foster diversity, equity, and inclusion. Build hiring pipelines that reach under-represented groups, run inclusive sprint ceremonies, and sponsor internal communities that make Certn a place where everyone can thrive.
- • Model Certn’s high-performance culture: think like an owner, execute with urgency, and celebrate wins loudly. You’ll be expected to give and receive feedback daily, turning every interaction into an opportunity for growth.
