  • • We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable Operations Manager (m/f) to become an integral part of our executive leadership team. This is a pivotal role designed for an individual who thrives on taking ownership of complex challenges, rapidly acquiring new skills, and developing scalable systems to drive operational excellence across our portfolio.
  • • This is not a role with a narrowly defined scope; rather, it's an opportunity to "get smart fast, own messy problems, build simple systems, and make them scale."   • • As an Operations Manager at ICG, you will operate at the nexus of various critical business functions, including operations, logistics, customer support, and performance management. You will be empowered to lead initiatives across multiple smaller departments and step in to provide operational ownership wherever it is needed. The expectation is that you will develop the capability and credibility to manage an increasingly broad operational scope across ICG's diverse entities.
  • • This position offers a high degree of autonomy; you will not be micromanaged, nor will you have a large team to delegate to. Success in this role is measured by the influence you earn through tangible results and impactful contributions.
  • • Your responsibilities will be dynamic and will evolve based on business needs and your demonstrated strengths. Key areas of focus will include:
  • • Leading Cross-Functional Projects: Spearhead high-impact initiatives that span multiple functions and business entities, including but not limited to Logistics, Customer Support, Finance, HR, Product, and Marketing. You will sometimes lead projects with cross-functional teams and at other times own initiatives independently from conception to completion.
  • • Owning and Scaling Core Operational Domains: Take direct accountability for critical day-to-day operational areas. Your mandate will be to enhance performance, improve reliability, elevate customer outcomes, and optimize cost efficiency. As you grow within the role, your scope will expand to encompass additional operational teams and departments.
  • • Optimizing Operational Processes: Systematically improve workflows across various teams to boost efficiency and ensure scalability. You will be responsible for building lightweight, practical systems and processes that reduce operational friction, eliminate redundant steps, and accelerate execution speed.
  • • Developing and Tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Design and implement dashboards and reporting systems to meticulously monitor performance across your operational domains. Conduct in-depth analyses of operational data to pinpoint root causes of issues and translate these insights into actionable, measurable improvements.
  • • Leading Operational Problem-Solving: Proactively identify operational gaps, inefficiencies, and points of friction between teams. You will be expected to propose effective solutions, gain alignment from stakeholders, and drive the implementation of these solutions with minimal direct oversight.
  • • Supporting Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Integration: Actively collaborate in the integration of newly acquired businesses. This involves aligning processes, systems, service standards, and operational cadences with ICG's established expectations and best practices.
  • • Contributing to Strategic Planning & Execution: Partner closely with executive leadership to define strategic priorities, rigorously test plans using data-driven insights, and translate high-level strategy into clear, actionable execution plans with defined owners, timelines, and accountability frameworks.
  • • Within your first six months, success will be defined by taking ownership of at least one to two major operational areas, delivering measurable improvements in key metrics (speed, cost, quality, customer outcomes), successfully completing multiple independent projects, implementing simple processes that reduce leadership firefighting and increase efficiency, and being recognized by colleagues as a reliable and effective problem-solver.
  • • This role is ideal for an individual with a proactive, independent, and pragmatic mindset, who prioritizes simplicity and scalability. A growth mindset, coupled with the discipline to achieve growth through consistent delivery, is essential. You should be comfortable handling "unsexy work" without ego and thrive in an environment that values self-accountability over frequent check-ins.
