- • The Manager, Sales FP&A (Revenue & Commercial Strategy) serves as a strategic partner to the business, driving financial visibility, operational excellence, and insight-driven decision-making by leading budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes while supporting the VP of FP&A in delivering timely financial intelligence to executive leadership.
- • Day to day, the role involves building financial models, leading reporting cycles, analyzing sales and commercial performance, partnering with cross-functional teams (especially sales and commercial strategy), identifying trends and variances, and translating complex data into actionable insights to support growth initiatives and process improvements.
- • The finance team at FiscalNote plays a critical role in providing actionable financial insights that guide strategic decisions, collaborating with business leaders across functions to optimize performance, support growth initiatives, and maintain best-in-class financial processes and systems, valuing collaboration, analytical rigor, and proactive problem-solving.
- • In this role, the person can develop deep expertise in sales and commercial finance, enhance strategic influencing skills with senior leaders, lead end-to-end FP&A cycles for a high-growth SaaS business, and drive measurable impact on revenue forecasting accuracy and commercial decision-making.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred
- • 5+ years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, management consulting, or corporate finance, with proven experience in sales, revenue, or commercial finance
- • Strong financial modeling and forecasting skills, including experience building and maintaining complex models in Excel
- • Experience working with sales, commercial strategy, or go-to-market teams to support pricing, quota setting, territory planning, or incentive compensation analysis
- • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to convey complex financial insights to non-finance stakeholders and senior leadership
- • Proficiency in financial systems and ERP tools (e.g., NetSuite, Adaptive Insights, or similar); experience with SQL or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
