- • As a Manager, Solutions Engineering at OpenAI, you will lead a team of Solutions Engineers responsible for ensuring the safe and effective deployment of ChatGPT and OpenAI API applications for developers and enterprises, acting as a trusted advisor to help customers maximize value from AI models and products while driving real business impact through innovative AI solutions.
- • You will develop and communicate a clear strategic vision for the Solutions Engineering team aligned with OpenAI’s overarching goals, guide and support your team throughout the pre-sales cycle to foster customer engagement and adoption, act as a trusted escalation point for key customers addressing complex technical challenges with executive stakeholders, and advocate for the innovative application of AI technologies across sectors to position OpenAI as an industry leader.
- • You will partner closely with Sales, Deployment, Product, and Research teams to create a seamless end-to-end customer journey, ensuring solutions are grounded in strong technical thinking and clear business value while helping customers navigate ambiguity in complex, global organizations.
- • The Technical Success team at OpenAI is dedicated to enabling developers and enterprises to safely and effectively deploy AI applications, serving as thought leaders who help customers transform their businesses through solutions like customer service automation, content generation, and novel AI-powered applications using the company’s newest models.
- • In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow as a technical leader by mentoring and managing high-performing teams, deepening your expertise in generative AI and ML solutions, influencing cross-functional product and go-to-market strategies, and contributing to OpenAI’s mission of ensuring artificial intelligence benefits all of humanity through safe and responsible deployment.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles, including building and managing C-level technical and business relationships within complex, global organizations.
- • 3+ years of experience leading technical pre-sales teams, with a proven track record of hiring, mentoring, and managing high-performing teams.
- • Successfully led complex sales involving Generative AI or traditional ML solutions, with a solid understanding of network and cloud architectures.
- • Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python or JavaScript, and a strong grasp of industry best practices.
- • Humble attitude, collaborative mindset, eagerness to help others, and willingness to learn whatever it takes to support the team and help customers thrive.
