📋 Description

• As a Managing Consultant or Associate Director in Healthcare Strategy & Innovation at Guidehouse, you will lead high-impact consulting engagements that help healthcare payer and provider organizations navigate complexity, drive innovation, and achieve sustainable growth through strategic transformation, operating model redesign, and data-driven decision-making.
• You will serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives and board members, guiding clients through strategic planning, enterprise transformation, M&A integration, cost reduction initiatives (including ZBx), service line and product strategy, and innovation adoption—positioning healthcare organizations for resilience and long-term value creation.
• Day to day, you will lead project teams in executing complex consulting engagements, applying advanced analytics and structured problem-solving to develop actionable insights, financial models, and implementation roadmaps tailored to payer and provider challenges.
• You will manage client relationships with senior stakeholders, facilitating workshops, presenting findings and recommendations, and ensuring alignment across executive, operational, and clinical teams to drive adoption of strategic initiatives.
• You will mentor and develop junior consultants and managers through an apprenticeship model, providing coaching, feedback, and skill-building in strategy consulting methodologies, analytical tools, and leadership competencies to elevate team performance.
• You will contribute to business and practice development by identifying new opportunities, supporting proposal writing, and helping shape Guidehouse’s healthcare strategy offerings through thought leadership and market insights.
• You will leverage proficiency in data analytics tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, and Alteryx, alongside financial modeling expertise, to analyze healthcare market trends, operational performance, and financial scenarios that inform strategic decisions.
• You will collaborate across Guidehouse’s global network of strategy, digital, and technology practitioners to deliver integrated solutions that combine strategic vision with technological enablement for healthcare clients.

• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in healthcare payer and provider strategy, strengthen your leadership and change management capabilities, and position yourself as a strategic advisor capable of shaping the future of healthcare delivery and financing.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or MHA highly preferred
• 5+ years of consulting or relevant experience for Managing Consultant level; 7+ years of strategy consulting experience in healthcare payer/provider for Associate Director level
• Proven track record in strategic planning, business model innovation, operating model design, cost reduction (ZBx), M&A, service line strategy, and healthcare industry transformation
• Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills with proficiency in PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, and Excel for developing business cases and data-driven recommendations
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with ability to present complex ideas clearly to C-suite and board-level stakeholders
• Willingness to travel up to 75% as needed to support client engagements
