- • As a Managing Consultant within BRG's Integrated Health Solutions (IHS) practice, specifically focusing on the Clinical Performance Improvement (CPI) service line and its Clinical Nursing Operations (CNO) pillar, you will be at the forefront of transforming healthcare delivery.
- • This role is designed for a seasoned professional who can lead complex performance improvement projects, drive sustainable enhancements in patient care operations, and deliver significant value to healthcare clients.
- • You will leverage your deep expertise in clinical nursing operations, workforce management, and process redesign to address critical challenges faced by healthcare organizations, aiming to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and elevate the quality of patient care.
- • Your responsibilities will span the entire project lifecycle, from initial assessment and planning to implementation and ongoing monitoring, ensuring that BRG's methodologies are applied effectively and tailored to client-specific needs.
- • You will serve as a key client-facing leader, building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, from frontline staff to executive leadership, to foster collaboration and ensure successful adoption of new processes and strategies.
- • A significant aspect of this role involves leading and mentoring project teams, developing junior consultants, and contributing to the overall growth and development of the CPI service line and the broader BRG organization.
- • You will be instrumental in developing and implementing evidence-based leading practices to enhance clinical quality, operational efficiency, and overall care delivery within client organizations.
- • This includes optimizing areas such as surgical quality, emergency department performance, patient throughput, length-of-stay reduction, and improving clinical coding and documentation.
- • The CNO pillar specifically focuses on strategically aligning staffing and operational resources to enhance workflow efficiency, reduce reliance on external staffing, lower costs, and improve nursing-sensitive quality indicators.
- • You will be expected to independently develop project plans, create high-quality client-facing materials (including slide decks and reports), and lead performance improvement work teams through process redesign and workflow transformation.
- • For smaller projects, you may serve as the engagement director, demonstrating your ability to manage all aspects of client delivery within your area of expertise.
- • When acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in your core knowledge area, you will independently implement client deliverables, lead work teams, and meet with clients and executives to advance project objectives.
- • Even when supporting SMEs in non-core areas, your contribution will be vital in assessing situations, establishing improved client processes and policies, and monitoring implemented workstreams.
- • A key component of this role is mentorship and coaching. You will lead, manage, develop, and coach junior staff assigned to your projects, fostering their professional growth.
- • After one year, you will be expected to serve as a "buddy" to new hires and potentially as an assigned coach, further contributing to the firm's talent development initiatives.
- • Beyond client work, you will contribute internally to BRG's advancement by participating in work teams and task forces, and by developing thought leadership through white papers, podcasts, conference presentations, and case studies.
- • You will also be responsible for managing your time and expenses accurately and efficiently, and for utilizing non-productive time for professional development and firm advancement.
- • The role requires a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for further utilization and a willingness to work in other service lines as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the firm's success.
- • In certain situations, you may be called upon to serve as a client's interim leader in your area of subject matter expertise, showcasing your leadership capabilities and deep understanding of clinical operations.
- • This position offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the healthcare industry by helping organizations achieve higher levels of performance, improve patient outcomes, and build more resilient and future-ready enterprises.
- • You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative practice that values innovation, expertise, and a commitment to client success, working alongside seasoned healthcare executives, operators, and clinicians.
