  • • Lead the launch and growth of Imara Talent Global’s inaugural office in Accra, Ghana, serving as the founding Managing Director responsible for building the team, culture, and operational infrastructure from the ground up.
  • • Recruit, hire, and manage the inaugural cohort of 10 accountants in 2026, prioritizing candidates with strong technical accounting skills and high potential for professional development.
  • • Scale the accounting team from 10 to 75+ professionals by 2027 through strategic hiring, workforce planning, and talent pipeline development.
  • • Hire and oversee administrative support staff to ensure seamless day-to-day operations of the Accra office.
  • • Provide direct management, coaching, and mentorship to all accounting and administrative staff, fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, accountability, and continuous growth.
  • • Partner with US executive leadership to design, implement, and deliver onboarding programs, technical training, and professional development initiatives tailored to the Ghanaian context.
  • • Ensure consistent high-quality work output across the team to build and maintain client trust and satisfaction.
  • • Monitor team performance through feedback mechanisms and establish clear career pathways for professional advancement.
  • • Build and maintain strategic relationships with local academic institutions, including universities, polytechnics, and professional accounting associations, to sustain long-term talent pipelines.
  • • Represent Imara Talent Global at industry events, career fairs, and community forums to enhance brand visibility and reputation within Ghana.
  • • Serve as the primary liaison between the Accra office and US executive leadership, providing regular operational, financial, and people-related reporting.
  • • Act as the public and internal face of Imara Talent in Ghana, modeling the company’s mission and values in all interactions.
  • • Identify, negotiate, and secure suitable office space in Accra that aligns with operational needs and cultural expectations.
  • • Procure and manage all necessary technology, equipment, and tools to enable a remote-capable accounting team.
  • • Establish office policies, workflows, and operational standards in coordination with US leadership to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • • Achieve key milestones within the first six months: securing office space, hiring the founding team of 10 accountants and essential admin staff, and co-developing onboarding and training frameworks with US leadership.
  • • By end of year one, ensure the team is performing at a high level, local partnerships are active and productive, and the foundation for scaling to 75+ accountants is fully established.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • • 5+ years of professional experience in accounting or finance
  • • 3+ years of management experience, ideally in a startup, NGO, or multi-stakeholder environment
  • • Demonstrated experience in recruiting, hiring, and developing professional teams
  • • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • • Strong organizational and project management capabilities
