- • As a Market Development Executive for National Guard / Homeland Defense at Silvus Technologies (a Motorola Solutions subsidiary), you will serve as the senior market-shaping leader responsible for influencing capability requirements and building strategic relationships at the General Officer and SES levels to drive long-term growth across National Guard modernization programs.
- • You will shape demand and cultivate enduring advocacy for Silvus’ MN-MIMO waveform and Spectrum Dominance technologies, enabling downstream sales success by aligning internal stakeholders and coordinating pursuit strategies across Business Development, DoD Account Sales, and OEM/Prime teams.
- • Day to day, you will leverage your established senior-level network within the National Guard (including TAG, NGB, Air Guard Readiness Center, and operational units) to shape requirements and sponsor Silvus Technologies in emerging Program of Record and OTA opportunities.
- • You will drive early visibility for Silvus in evolving defense initiatives such as JADC2, Unified Network, and Transformation in Contact, ensuring technical alignment with long-term capability roadmaps and positioning the company as a trusted advisor in tactical communications.
- • You will serve as the senior "market anchor" for the National Guard, coordinating a team-based pursuit model by aligning Sales, Engineering, Product, Capture, and Executive Leadership to deliver unified messaging and strategy for priority programs.
- • You will partner with Motorola Solutions and MSI Government Affairs to synchronize advocacy and policy outreach, ensuring Silvus’ voice is heard in key defense and homeland security forums.
- • You will provide continuous market insight to Silvus leadership by capturing trends in National Guard network modernization, tactical communications, and electronic warfare/spectrum management, identifying and cultivating emerging opportunities for long-term revenue growth.
- • You will represent Silvus at senior National Guard, DoD, and industry forums to promote thought leadership, build institutional advocacy, and strengthen the company’s reputation as a leader in mesh networking and spectrum dominance.
- • You will develop and execute the National Guard Market Development Plan, defining shaping objectives, key relationships, and pursuit milestones in coordination with Sales and Business Development stakeholders to mature multi-year opportunities toward hand-off.
- • You will contribute directly to Silvus’ pipeline growth by ensuring strategic opportunities are identified, nurtured, and advanced through the capture lifecycle, supporting sustained revenue generation.
- • You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, building trust as a credible advisor to senior government and military leaders while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.

🎯 Requirements
- • High School Diploma or GED.
- • Minimum of 8 years of demonstrated experience in strategic relationship management, account management, or government relations within the defense industry.
- • Extensive prior U.S. Army service (e.g., former General Officer) OR extensive experience as a senior civilian (GS-15/SES equivalent) or defense industry executive.
- • A pre-existing, established, and verifiable network of contacts at senior levels within the National Guard (TAG, NGB, Program Offices, etc.).
- • Deep branch-domain knowledge of U.S. Army tactical network mission, structure, and procurement processes.
- • Exceptional executive-level communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- • Strong strategic planning and "big picture" thinking.
- • Ability to operate with a high level of autonomy and build trust as a credible advisor.
- • Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
- • Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
