- • Serve as Silvus Technologies’ senior market-shaping leader for the U.S. Air Force and Space Force, influencing capability requirements and securing advocacy for advanced mesh networking technologies within critical defense programs.
- • Build and leverage senior-level relationships across AFLCMC, Space Systems Command, MAJCOMs (ACC, AMC, AFSOC, PACAF), and operational wings to drive strategic engagement and long-term demand shaping.
- • Position Silvus Technologies early in emerging DoD modernization initiatives including Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS), Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2), resilient communications for contested air/space environments, and operational imperative programs.
- • Drive alignment with USAF/USSF capability roadmaps supporting distributed airborne networks, beyond-line-of-sight command and control, autonomous systems, and multi-security transport architectures.
- • Act as the senior market anchor coordinating engagement across Strategic Growth, DoD Sales, OEM/Prime Sales, Engineering, and Product teams to ensure unified strategy and execution.
- • Synchronize advocacy strategies with Motorola Solutions and MSI Government Affairs to influence planning, programming, and budget decisions within the Department of Defense.
- • Provide supervisory oversight for the strategic program pursuits of the USAF Business Development Director, ensuring alignment and continuity in pursuit execution.
- • Deliver continuous intelligence on USAF/USSF modernization priorities, acquisition pathways (e.g., Middle Tier Rapid Acquisition), and future force design to guide market development planning.
- • Establish and maintain Silvus’ presence in the POR (Program of Record) pipeline at the earliest stage of opportunity identification to enable long-term revenue growth.
- • Represent Silvus Technologies at senior-level DoD forums, industry conferences, and technical exchanges to promote leadership in contested air/space connectivity and spectrum operations.
- • Develop and execute a comprehensive Air & Space Force Market Development Plan, outlining shaping objectives, key relationships, transition milestones, and downstream engagement pathways for Business Development teams.
- • Identify and mature multi-year program opportunities into the long-range revenue plan, ensuring visibility and prioritization within corporate strategic planning.
- • Travel up to 50% as needed to maintain strong customer engagement, attend demonstrations, participate in field trials, and support key defense events.
- • Perform physical tasks including lifting equipment up to 50 lbs. for demonstration setups and conducting bending and reaching movements to place items on shelves during testing environments.
- • Work in varied conditions including office environments, trade shows, and outdoor demonstration sites.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 8 years of demonstrated experience in strategic relationship management, account management, or government relations within the defense industry
- • Prior U.S. Air Force or Space Force service or senior leadership experience supporting C5ISR, airborne communications, space systems, or autonomous platforms
- • Established, verifiable network within key USAF/USSF organizations (e.g., AFLCMC Directorates, Space Systems Command, AFSOC, test units, operational wings)
- • Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire
- • Must be a U.S. Citizen due to U.S. government contract requirements
- • Expert knowledge of USAF/USSF mission structure, budgeting, and governance processes
