We empower individuals to build thriving businesses across a vast array of categories, from collectibles and fashion to electronics and live plants. Unlike traditional models, we are forging a new path in live commerce, creating an industry where none previously existed. Our team is at the forefront of this innovation, shaping the future of online retail and community-driven commerce.
- • As a Marketing Associate in Australia, you will be instrumental in driving buyer demand across all key categories. Your role is pivotal in executing impactful campaigns, fostering strong community relationships, and generating excitement that translates into platform growth and user engagement. You will be responsible for conceptualizing and implementing a diverse range of marketing initiatives, including digital events hosted directly on the Whatnot platform, comprehensive integrated marketing campaigns that span multiple channels, engaging in-person events and strategic activations, cultivating and managing influencer partnerships, and collaborating closely with our sellers and creators to produce compelling, high-performance content that resonates with our target audience.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of marketing activities designed to boost buyer acquisition and engagement. This includes developing and executing creative campaigns and events that not only generate significant community buzz but also directly drive demand for products on Whatnot. You will meticulously plan and execute campaigns for new product releases, ensuring maximum visibility and impact. Furthermore, you will provide crucial support for on-platform events and key community moments, coordinating efforts across various marketing channels to ensure seamless execution and maximum reach. A significant part of your role will involve managing a dedicated portfolio of influencers, which includes nurturing strong relationships, brainstorming innovative campaign ideas, overseeing the execution of these campaigns from start to finish, and providing detailed performance reports to assess their effectiveness and inform future strategies.
- • You will also collaborate closely with our global social media team to refine and implement our overarching social media strategy. This involves actively managing a detailed social media calendar, ensuring timely and relevant content delivery, and providing expert advice and insights on content creation for major tentpole campaigns and ongoing initiatives. Your contributions will be vital in amplifying our brand presence and engaging our community across all social platforms. This role offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the dynamic world of live commerce and contribute to the growth of a rapidly expanding marketplace.
- • The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of our customer base and the key drivers of acquisition, engagement, and retention. You will leverage this knowledge to craft and execute marketing strategies that not only attract new buyers but also foster loyalty and encourage repeat engagement. Your ability to think creatively, coupled with a data-driven approach, will be essential in optimizing campaign performance and achieving our growth objectives. You will be empowered to take ownership of marketing initiatives, working autonomously while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about building communities and enabling creators to succeed.
- • This position offers a unique chance to be part of a fast-paced, innovative company that is defining a new industry. You will gain invaluable experience in a high-growth environment, working with a talented team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of e-commerce. The opportunity to learn and grow within a supportive and dynamic culture, while directly impacting the success of Whatnot in Australia, makes this a truly exciting prospect for an ambitious marketing professional. You will be at the forefront of shaping consumer behavior and building a vibrant ecosystem for buyers and sellers alike.
