  • • This paid internship is designed for graduate students or recent graduates (2024-2025) with a passion for photography and video, offering a crucial bridge between academic learning and practical, real-world application.
  • • While the position is home-based within the United States, preference will be given to candidates residing in HawaiĘ»i, fostering a connection to the specific region of focus.
  • • You will play an integral role in managing and organizing digital assets, specifically photography and video resources, which are vital for the Pacific Division's marketing efforts in HawaiĘ»i and Palmyra.
  • • This digital asset management (DAM) function is critical for enabling rapid response communications, ensuring that compelling visual content is readily available.
  • • Your primary responsibility will involve applying a meticulously organized taxonomy system to categorize and curate a vast collection of imagery and video clips.
  • • You will be instrumental in uploading these curated assets into TNC's established DAM system, contributing significantly to its comprehensiveness and usability.
  • • A key deliverable will be the evaluation and organization of terabytes of digital assets, identifying and selecting the "best of" collections.
  • • These curated selections will be optimized for both print and online applications, demonstrating your understanding of diverse media needs.
  • • You will be tasked with uploading a minimum of 300 high-quality assets into TNC's DAM, a substantial contribution to the organization's visual library.
  • • Beyond asset management, you will have the opportunity to develop short video clips on specific topics, showcasing your creative and technical skills.
  • • If time permits, you will further support the marketing team by assisting in content creation for various platforms, including newsletters, social media, and other publications.
  • • This expanded role could involve creating a minimum of 10 distinct content pieces, potentially including engaging video reels or valuable b-roll footage.
  • • Your internship journey will begin with a thorough study of current taxonomy conditions, ensuring alignment with the video team's established organizational methodologies.
  • • You will receive comprehensive training on TNC's DAM system through short online modules, gaining practical expertise in a professional-grade platform.
  • • You will also gain in-depth knowledge of the visual assets specific to HawaiĘ»i and Palmyra that require meticulous sorting and organization.
  • • Collaboration will be a cornerstone of your experience, working closely with team members to develop effective sorting methods and curate "best of" collections for DAM upload.
