- • As a Media Technician at MUBI Limited, you will play a critical role in ensuring that MUBI’s curated selection of visionary films reaches global audiences through seamless technical delivery, acting as a vital bridge between post-production, distribution, and sales teams to maintain the highest standards of content quality and compliance.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include reviewing and approving technical specifications from sales partners and external vendors, creating localized versions of feature films (subtitled, dubbed, and original masters), conforming audiovisual elements to meet partner-specific delivery requirements (including framerate conversions and audio edits), performing rigorous quality control checks on picture and audio, managing timely delivery across diverse platforms (TVOD, EST, Physical Video, TV, SVOD, AVOD, FAST, airlines, ships, and educational institutions), handling multiple concurrent projects with strict adherence to deadlines, investigating QC flags raised by partners, identifying process improvements to support workflow innovation, and assisting the video encoding team in expanding support for advanced streaming formats like HDR.
- • You will join a passionate, globally distributed team of film enthusiasts and professionals dedicated to elevating great cinema, operating from MUBI’s London headquarters while collaborating with colleagues across New York, Istanbul, Paris, Berlin, and Mexico City, all united by a shared mission to make visionary film accessible to everyone, everywhere.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in global media delivery workflows, gain hands-on experience with HDR and advanced streaming formats, develop cross-functional collaboration skills across post-production, sales, and distribution, and contribute to the technical infrastructure that powers one of the world’s most respected curated streaming platforms — positioning you for growth in media operations, technical workflow design, or international content distribution.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum 2 years of experience in a post-production environment, including theatrical, downstream, and TV workflows
- • Solid knowledge of aspect ratios, resolutions, frame rates, colour spaces, and audio configurations
- • Confidence in handling HDR content, performing edits, and versioning HDR masters
- • Familiarity with technical specifications of popular streaming platforms
- • Ability to spot and identify issues through a quality control (QC) process
- • Understanding of timeline-based editing tools, including proficiency using Adobe Creative Cloud software
- • Familiarity with languages spoken in MUBI’s key focus territories
- • Creativity in problem-solving, ability to work independently or collaboratively across departments
- • Ability to work on own initiative with strong prioritization skills
