📋 Description

  • The Medical Assistant & Family Advocate role at Nest Health is a vital part of an innovative, value-based care model that delivers comprehensive medical, behavioral, and social care directly to high-risk families in their homes and virtually. This position combines clinical medical assisting duties with patient advocacy and social care navigation to support families facing complex health and social challenges.
  • Day to day, the Family Advocate will provide direct patient care under clinician supervision, including taking vital signs, administering medications and vaccinations, collecting lab specimens, assisting with exams, and maintaining accurate EMR documentation. They will also conduct patient interviews, support administrative workflows, manage medical records, coordinate referrals to external social services, and engage in outreach and education to help families access health and social care resources.

🎯 Requirements

  • Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Fluency in English
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • US work authorization
  • One year of vital signs and phlebotomy experience
  • One year of EMR systems experience
  • Active BLS certification
  • Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, auto insurance, and willingness to travel to patient homes
