đź“‹ Description
- • As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for Haemonetics’ Interventional Technologies (IVT) portfolio, you will serve as the primary medical and scientific expert driving evidence-based engagement with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in interventional cardiology, structural heart, coronary, and electrophysiology. Your role is critical in bridging clinical science and commercial strategy by delivering non-promotional education, gathering actionable insights, and supporting medical affairs initiatives that inform product development, clinical research, and regulatory strategy—ultimately improving patient outcomes through scientifically grounded dialogue.
- • On a day-to-day basis, you will: act as the scientific authority for IVT products including vascular closure devices, supporting Blood Management as needed; identify, cultivate, and maintain strategic relationships with KOLs in priority markets to gather insights that shape clinical and portfolio strategies; deliver non-promotional scientific education on product evidence, evolving standards of care, and clinical data to healthcare professionals and internal teams; provide medical input into clinical study design, site selection, investigator identification, and publication planning for Haemonetics-sponsored research; support Investigator-Initiated Trials (IITs) and collaborate with Clinical Development and R&D on study execution; deliver scientific training to internal stakeholders (e.g., sales, marketing) and external partners including contracted healthcare educators; represent Medical Affairs at national and international scientific conferences, medical congresses, and advisory boards; stay current on clinical literature, competitor activities, payer policies, and emerging technologies in interventional cardiology; and ensure full compliance with company policies, FDA regulations, PhRMA Code, and industry standards in all scientific interactions.
- • You will be part of Haemonetics’ global Medical Affairs organization, a scientifically driven team committed to advancing patient care through rigorous evidence generation and ethical engagement with the medical community. The IVT portfolio focuses on innovative solutions for vascular access and closure in high-complexity cardiac procedures, and you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in Clinical Development, R&D, Regulatory, and Commercial to align medical strategy with business objectives. Haemonetics is a global leader in blood management and surgical technologies, dedicated to improving patient outcomes through innovation, quality, and integrity—values that are embedded in every Medical Affairs interaction.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in interventional cardiology technologies, refine your ability to translate complex scientific data into clear, impactful communications, and build a national network of influential KOLs and clinical experts. You will gain experience in medical strategy development, clinical trial support, and real-world evidence generation—positioning you for advancement into senior Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, or Healthcare Strategy roles within the medtech industry. This is an opportunity to combine clinical knowledge with strategic impact in a purpose-driven organization that values scientific excellence and ethical leadership.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting (e.g., RN, PA, technologist, allied health professional).
- • Previous hands-on experience with vascular closure techniques and products in interventional cardiology (structural heart, coronary, or electrophysiology procedures).
- • Strong scientific communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with proven ability to educate and influence healthcare professionals and internal teams.
- • Ability to travel 30–40% within the U.S. to engage with KOLs, attend conferences, and support site visits.
- • Industry experience in MedTech, Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, or Scientific Affairs is required.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive base salary range of $101,074.94–$172,098.56 annually, with eligibility for discretionary annual bonus and long-term incentive plans based on role and performance.
- • Comprehensive health and welfare benefits including medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage.
- • Retirement savings with 401(k) plan featuring up to 6% employer match and immediate vesting.
- • Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) allowing purchase of company stock at a discount.
- • Flexible Time Off (FTO) for salaried employees, plus paid sick time (up to 64 hours annually), parental leave, short- and long-term disability insurance.
- • Tuition reimbursement program to support continued education and professional development.
