  • • In this pivotal, newly established role, you will be instrumental in ensuring our valued customers consistently derive maximum value from the Popl platform. This will be achieved through close collaboration with our dedicated Account Executives and Customer Success teams, with a primary focus on driving strong customer retention and identifying avenues for expansion. You will be the primary owner of your portfolio of mid-market accounts, responsible for proactively identifying and mitigating churn risks, nurturing enduring relationships with key stakeholders, and uncovering opportunities to deepen our partnership.
  • • Your core responsibilities will encompass owning and driving Net Revenue Retention (NRR) for your assigned accounts. This means you will be accountable for ensuring customer retention and actively seeking out expansion opportunities to maximize revenue growth within your book of business. A significant part of this will involve managing contract renewals, requiring you to proactively engage with customers well in advance of their renewal dates to ensure seamless and timely contract extensions. You will also be tasked with identifying and capitalizing on expansion opportunities, working hand-in-hand with your clients to upsell and cross-sell additional Popl solutions that precisely align with their evolving business needs and strategic objectives.
  • • To excel in this role, a deep and confident understanding of Popl’s suite of products is essential. You will need to continuously maintain and enhance your product knowledge, becoming adept at articulating the unique value proposition of each offering to diverse customer segments. Collaboration is key at Popl; you will partner closely with Account Executives to facilitate smooth handoffs and identify new business potential within existing accounts, and with Customer Success Managers to ensure a cohesive and exceptional customer experience throughout their lifecycle. Monitoring customer health will be a critical daily activity, involving the tracking of engagement metrics, adoption trends, and early warning signals of potential churn. This proactive approach will enable you to address challenges head-on and identify fertile ground for growth.
  • • Furthermore, you will be responsible for negotiating contracts, ensuring that terms are favorable for both Popl and our clients, thereby fostering mutually beneficial long-term partnerships. Your ability to analyze customer data will be paramount in identifying potential risks and uncovering strategic opportunities for account growth. This role demands a proactive, results-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment and is eager to make a significant impact on Popl’s continued success. You will be a key player in shaping the future of in-person GTM strategies for our clients.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 3-5 years of proven experience in account management within a B2B SaaS company.
  • • Demonstrated track record of successfully driving renewals and upsell revenue.
  • • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients at various levels.
  • • Proficiency in analyzing customer data to identify churn risks and growth opportunities.
  • • Experience working with CRM platforms like Salesforce and payment processors like Stripe.
  • • Direct revenue closing experience, whether in renewals, cross-sell/upsell, or new business acquisition.
