📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java for a major Brazilian financial institution specializing in investment banking, wealth management, and corporate lending.
• Build and support event-driven architectures using Kafka, SQS, and RabbitMQ to enable reliable and asynchronous communication between services.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure code quality and system reliability.
• Design and optimize solutions using relational databases including MySQL and PostgreSQL for data persistence and transactional integrity.
• Deploy and support applications in containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS to ensure consistent and scalable deployments.
• Leverage AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, and ECS to build serverless and distributed cloud-native applications.
• Implement observability practices such as logging, monitoring, and tracing to improve system reliability, performance, and incident response.
• Design highly available and scalable systems using auto-scaling, load balancing, clustering, and disaster recovery strategies to meet enterprise-grade requirements.
• Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices including SOLID, Clean Code, DRY, KISS, and YAGNI principles.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, maintainable, and secure digital banking platforms and financial solutions.
• Contribute to the team’s technical evolution through continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing.
• Maintain a quality-focused mindset with attention to detail and a commitment to engineering excellence throughout the development lifecycle.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders and team members.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities when addressing complex backend system challenges.
• Take ownership and initiative in tasks, proactively identifying opportunities for optimization and innovation.
• Adapt to evolving technologies and methodologies with eagerness to learn and apply new tools and frameworks.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Java for backend development
• Hands-on experience with unit, integration, and performance testing
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures using Kafka, SQS, or RabbitMQ
• Knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Experience with containerized environments including Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS
• Experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, and ECS
