• • Mr D, a division of takealot.com, is seeking Web Frontend Engineers to join their team in Cape Town, offering remote positions for candidates based in South Africa. The role involves maintaining and developing multiple production applications using modern Angular and SvelteKit, with a focus on scalable, performant code and AI-assisted development workflows.
• • Day-to-day responsibilities include writing optimized JavaScript/TypeScript code, contributing to automated testing, participating in code reviews, collaborating with UX designers and QA teams, debugging frontend/backend issues, deploying features via CI/CD pipelines, leveraging AI tools like GitHub Copilot, and providing accurate delivery estimates.
