- • Own and grow a multi-million-dollar book of national industrial accounts across the Southeastern U.S. (AL, SC, FL, GA). You will be the single point of accountability for revenue, margin, and share-of-wallet expansion with Fortune-1000 manufacturers, large contractors, and government entities, translating customer pain points into profitable, long-term HD Supply solutions.
- • Build and execute strategic account plans that go beyond “selling stuff.” You will map decision-making hierarchies, uncover capital-project pipelines, and craft tailored value propositions that bundle our 200,000+ SKUs with services such as on-site inventory, kitting, will-call, and same-day delivery—driving measurable cost-out and productivity gains for customers.
- • Spend up to 50 % of your time in the field—at customer sites, on job trailers, and in plants—running consultative discovery sessions, product demonstrations, and executive-level QBRs. Your ability to command a room (or a Zoom) with crisp storytelling and data-backed ROI models will turn skeptical procurement teams into HD Supply champions.
- • Negotiate and secure multi-year national contracts, volume-rebate programs, and e-catalog integrations that lock in share and create barriers to entry for competitors. You will balance customer price pressure with internal margin targets, leveraging Salesforce dashboards and pricing matrices to model scenarios and secure executive sign-off.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with inside sales, category management, supply-chain, credit, and marketing to ensure flawless execution of every promise you make. When a hurricane hits or a plant goes down at 2 a.m., you will orchestrate emergency shipments, substitute SKUs, and keep the customer’s operation running—turning crisis moments into loyalty wins.
- • Mine Salesforce CRM daily to track funnel health, spot churn risk, and identify whitespace opportunities. You will maintain 100 % data hygiene so that leadership can forecast accurately and marketing can trigger automated campaigns that warm your next conversation.
- • Represent HD Supply at regional and national trade shows, industry councils, and MRO conferences. Your thought-leadership presentations on supply-chain resilience and total cost of ownership will position you—and HD Supply—as indispensable strategic partners, not just another distributor.
- • Coach and mentor junior account managers and inside-sales reps, sharing best practices on objection handling, margin defense, and contract language. While you do not have direct hiring authority, your feedback will shape talent development and succession planning.
- • Travel overnight more than 50 % of the time, living near a major Southeastern airport for same-day customer access. You will manage your own travel budget, optimize routes, and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) as required by company policy.
