  • • The National Channel Sales Engineer at Commvault is a technical sales support role focused on driving revenue by translating complex technical concepts into actionable business solutions for partners and customers in the Canadian market. This role is critical to enabling partner-led pre-sales activities and ensuring successful sales outcomes through technical expertise and strategic guidance.
  • • Day to day, the engineer will work with the National Channel Sales Team to develop territory plans and enablement strategies, lead technical sales calls, demonstrate Commvault’s cyber resilience platform through proofs-of-concept and presentations, collaborate with internal teams (sales, product, marketing), and provide technical enablement to channel partners. They will also participate in QBRs, maintain Salesforce documentation, and advise on product improvements based on field feedback.

They will gain exposure to Fortune 500–1000 accounts, lead cross-functional initiatives, and grow into a trusted technical advisor capable of influencing both partner strategy and customer outcomes.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5+ years in the software or storage industry, with 3+ years of proven experience in a Partner/Channel pre-sales sales engineer role
  • • Proven experience selling, architecting, and delivering data management and cyber resilience solutions (including data protection, cloud native, compliance, SRM) and supporting partner-led trials and proof of concepts
  • • Solid knowledge of infrastructure technologies such as storage, servers, networking, cloud, hyper-convergence, and experience with major operating systems, hypervisors, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • • Strong consultative selling skills, experience with sales methodologies (MEDDIC, TAS, SPIN, etc.), and ability to create business cases and TCO models
  • • BS or MS in Computer Science/Engineering or related field; ability to work remotely and autonomously with up to 50% travel
