📋 Description

• A Native PHP Developer role focused on building and maintaining high-throughput, production-grade backend systems for a global leader in mobile payment and digital monetization, processing high-volume transactions across 60+ countries.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and developing robust backend services in native PHP (7/8), optimizing transaction and billing workflows, building and maintaining REST/SOAP APIs, working with relational databases for schema design and query optimization, integrating with external payment and carrier systems, implementing asynchronous processing with message queues and caching, ensuring security and observability, contributing to CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with product, ops, and QA teams.
• The team operates as a distributed, cross-timezone group within a global telecom and fintech leader, emphasizing autonomy, technical excellence, and ownership in mission-critical systems.
• The role offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in high-availability transactional systems, gain exposure to global payment platforms, contribute to revenue-critical infrastructure, and grow as a senior backend engineer in a fast-paced, internationally scaled environment.

🎯 Requirements

• Expert-level native/core PHP (7/8) with solid OOP, design patterns, and clean architecture
• Proven experience with high-throughput, transactional backend systems (mandatory)
• Strong SQL skills (MySQL/MariaDB/PostgreSQL): modeling, optimization, debugging
• Solid experience designing and consuming REST/SOAP APIs
• Comfort with Linux environments, Git and CI/CD workflows
• Familiarity with message queues (RabbitMQ/Kafka), caching (Redis), and asynchronous processing
• Good understanding of application security and data integrity in sensitive/financial contexts
• Fluent English and ability to work autonomously across timezones
