- • The New Business Account Executive role at The Economist Group Limited in Singapore is a 360° sales position focused on growing EIU’s presence across ASEAN by selling research and data-led solutions to organisations navigating geopolitical, economic, and regulatory change.
- • Day to day, the role involves owning the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, generating pipeline through high-quality outbound activity, engaging senior executives and data/advisory teams, managing opportunities in Salesforce, and building trusted client relationships to meet revenue targets.
- • The Economist Group is a global organisation driven by innovation, independence, and rigour, delivering analysis and insights through its four businesses—The Economist, Economist Impact, Economist Intelligence, and Economist Education—to clients in 170 countries, empowering decision-making in complex global environments.
- • In this role, the individual will develop deep expertise in data-led selling, build a reputation as a trusted commercial partner, contribute to territory strategy, and position themselves for broader responsibility through consistent performance and ownership of the ASEAN sales territory.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5-8+ years’ experience in a full-cycle sales role within SaaS, information services, or data-adjacent B2B environments
- • Proven ability to prospect, build pipeline, and close new business
- • Experience selling consultative, insight-led solutions to key decision-makers
- • Commercial comfort with data-led propositions, including analytics workflows and APIs (deep technical expertise not required)
- • Strong Salesforce hygiene and forecasting discipline
- • Self-starter mindset with ability to operate autonomously across ASEAN
- • Based in Singapore, with regional travel as required
