- • As an Operational Consultant for Teamshares' MEP industry portfolio, you will drive operational improvements across 11 employee-owned small businesses in HVAC, plumbing, mechanical services, and related trades, directly supporting company presidents to stabilize, onboard, or transition operations.
- • Your day-to-day involves serving as an on-the-ground operational resource—working alongside presidents in co-management or support roles, leading transitions like new acquisitions or leadership handoffs, identifying gaps in dispatching, pricing, technician productivity, and job costing, and implementing practical improvements that build trust through execution.
- • You’ll join a mission-driven startup that acquires small businesses from retiring owners and converts them into enduring employee-owned enterprises, operating within a specialized MEP portfolio focused on scaling operational excellence across trades-based companies.
- • In this role, you’ll deepen your expertise in field service operations, become the internal Teamshares authority on ServiceTitan, lead platform implementations and optimizations, and develop scalable playbooks and benchmarks—gaining impact at the intersection of trades operations, technology adoption, and employee ownership.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience operating inside the trades (HVAC, plumbing, mechanical services, or related fields) with hands-on knowledge of field service operations
- • Ability to build trust quickly with experienced business owners and operators through credible, execution-focused engagement
- • Experience with ServiceTitan or similar field service management platforms, including configuration, workflows, reporting, and optimization
- • Willingness to travel up to 50% to support portfolio companies on-site
- • Strong project management skills to lead implementations, audits, and process improvements across multiple companies
- • Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and driving change without relying on formal authority
