- • As the Director of Payment Operations at Sportygroup B.V., you will own and drive the strategic direction of payment operations across a global, remote-first organisation, ensuring seamless, secure, and high-performing payment experiences for millions of daily users worldwide. Your leadership will directly impact customer trust, revenue integrity, and compliance posture by aligning payment strategies with product innovation and regulatory evolution in the fast-moving fintech and gaming landscape.
- • You will define, own, and manage core payment operations including KPIs such as payment acceptance rates, performance, conversion, compliance, and cost; oversee fraud prevention and risk management strategies; monitor business and process metrics to identify improvement opportunities; lead investigations into suspected fraudulent activities; collaborate with product and engineering teams to solve local challenges and enhance customer experience; recruit, manage, lead, and motivate a geographically distributed team of payment specialists; assess evolving payment landscapes and regulatory changes; establish and revise policies to enforce compliance directives; ensure timely resolution of end-user issues; act as primary point of contact with network partners to resolve production issues; and maintain team expertise on industry trends and technological advancements.

🎯 Requirements
- • Fluency in both written and spoken English
- • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or a related field
- • Advanced knowledge of global payment systems, region-specific rules and regulations
- • Proven experience in fraud, risk, KYC, investigation, and risk management
- • Expert experience managing, leading, and building a wider team
- • Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to use data and metrics to drive improvements in payment operations
