- • As an Operations Engineering Lead at Miter Inc., you will play a pivotal role in building the internal operating systems that power the company’s mission to modernize construction contractor operations through AI and embedded payments.
- • You will own Miter’s internal product roadmap by identifying high-leverage opportunities across the business, designing systems to improve operational efficiency, and partnering closely with engineering to ship solutions.
- • You will embed deeply with the Customer Experience (CX) organization to eliminate friction caused by fragmented information and manual processes using AI, data, and internal tooling.
- • You will own core internal systems and data infrastructure, ensuring customer context, key metrics, and workflows are connected and accessible across tools for both people and AI agents.
- • You will drive cross-functional projects through influence by translating ambiguity into clear PRDs, guiding engineers via indirect reporting, and earning trust as a strategic partner to internal teams.
- • You will join a small, high-leverage team focused on rethinking how internal teams work, what tools they use, and how AI can multiply individual impact—starting with the CX org but with broad influence across the company.
- • This role sits at the intersection of product, operations, and applied AI, offering the chance to shape how Miter operates from the inside while contributing to a fast-growing vertical software company backed by top-tier investors.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years in a highly strategic generalist role such as management consulting, product management, BizOps, or similar, including experience taking products from 0 to 1.
- • A nose for impact: ability to identify where a unit of effort yields an order of magnitude in business value across the organization.
- • Baseline technical fluency: comfort reading API docs, drafting PRDs, and stitching together internal tooling—including AI-powered workflows—without relying on engineering for every step.
- • Clear linear thinking and writing: skill in turning messy, imperfect information into logical, actionable plans.
- • Empathy and strong listening skills: ability to uncover the 'so what' behind internal customers’ pain points and translate them into the right solutions to build.
