📋 Description

  • • Embark on a pivotal role at Altasciences Inc., a company dedicated to accelerating the discovery, development, and manufacturing of new drug therapies to bring life-changing treatments to patients faster. As an Operations Scheduler (remote), you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless execution of in-life studies by meticulously planning and coordinating all protocol-required tasks. Your expertise will directly contribute to the health and well-being of individuals worldwide, embodying Altasciences' core values of Employee Development, Customer Focus, Quality and Excellence, Respect, and Integrity.
  • • In this dynamic position, you will be the linchpin for operational efficiency, supporting Research Associate Supervisors, Study Supervisors, and Study Directors. Your primary responsibility will be the comprehensive scheduling of all tasks mandated by study protocols, alongside managing other departmental needs. This includes the critical task of creating daily employee work schedules, carefully aligning study timelines, departmental requirements, and individual employee availability to optimize resource allocation and productivity.
  • • A key aspect of your role will involve acting as a crucial liaison between various departments. You will proactively coordinate logistical challenges that arise from the timing and collection of study-required tasks, ensuring that interdepartmental dependencies are managed effectively and that the overall study flow remains uninterrupted. This collaborative approach is essential for maintaining the high standards of quality and efficiency that Altasciences upholds.
  • • You will also play a significant part in the evaluation and planning of departmental and site-level resources. This involves assessing current resource utilization, forecasting future needs, and contributing to strategic planning to ensure that the necessary personnel, equipment, and facilities are available to support ongoing and upcoming studies.
  • • Verification and posting of all generated schedules will be a core duty, ensuring accuracy and clear communication to all involved parties. Your attention to detail will be paramount in preventing errors and ensuring that schedules are readily accessible and understood by the teams executing the work.
  • • The role demands flexibility and responsiveness. You will be expected to assist management with urgent scheduling rearrangements, particularly in critical situations such as late doses or unexpected employee call-outs. Your ability to adapt quickly and efficiently to unforeseen circumstances will be vital for maintaining study integrity and operational continuity.
  • • Troubleshooting logistical challenges that emerge during workload management and study execution will be an ongoing responsibility. You will identify potential bottlenecks or issues and develop practical solutions to keep studies on track.
  • • In certain instances, you may be involved in scheduling external consultants and contractors for specialized procedures, ensuring their availability aligns with protocol or SOP requirements. This includes maintaining their calendars to facilitate smooth integration into study activities.
  • • You may also contribute to the creation or verification of individual study schedules, providing an additional layer of oversight and ensuring adherence to all regulatory and internal guidelines.
  • • Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to contribute to special projects as needed, offering your scheduling and operational expertise to support broader company initiatives and process improvements.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, research-driven environment where your contributions have a tangible impact on advancing pharmaceutical development. You will be part of a collaborative team that values innovation, precision, and a shared commitment to improving global health.
