- • As an OR Software Engineer at Optimal Dynamics Inc., you will join a high-growth, mission-driven team focused on revolutionizing logistics decisions through cutting-edge optimization and AI technologies. Built on over four decades of Princeton University research, the company helps customers unlock double-digit revenue gains and scale data-driven operations in freight and transportation planning. This role is critical to advancing the company’s platform during an exciting phase of growth following its Series C funding round led by Koch Disruptive Technologies.
- • Day to day, you will engage in the full software development lifecycle — researching, designing, experimenting, developing, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining optimization and AI tools for logistics applications. You will ramp up quickly with guidance from senior OR/AI team members, then execute on complex features, implement best practices to enhance machine learning infrastructure in production, and ideate novel methodologies to solve challenging problems. You’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Data Scientists while learning directly from leaders in AI and optimization.

🎯 Requirements
- • MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Operations Research, or Industrial Engineering, OR BS in one of these fields and two+ years of industry experience
- • Significant experience with an object-oriented programming language (Java, C#/C++, etc.) and software design, including hands-on Python coding experience
- • Background coursework or experience in optimization, probability, and statistics
- • Some background in machine learning or artificial intelligence
- • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues and find resolutions
- • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
