• • As an Oracle Finance Functional Analyst at GTT Communications, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in the support, maintenance, and enhancement of our critical Oracle Fusion and related financial systems. This position is instrumental in bridging the gap between our Information Technology department and our vital business users, ensuring that our financial systems not only function flawlessly but also evolve to meet the dynamic needs of a leading global networking and security service provider.
• • Your primary focus will be on providing robust day-to-day support for our core financial modules, ensuring operational continuity and efficiency. This includes troubleshooting issues, analyzing system performance, and implementing timely solutions to maintain system stability and user satisfaction. You will be the go-to expert for a range of financial processes, ensuring that our finance teams have the tools and systems they need to operate effectively.
• • Beyond daily support, this role offers significant involvement in strategic, project-based initiatives. You will contribute to system upgrades, new implementations, and major enhancements, playing a key part in shaping the future of GTT's financial technology landscape. This involves translating complex business requirements into actionable functional designs and system configurations, ensuring that new solutions align perfectly with our overarching strategic objectives.
• • A core responsibility will be to serve as a key liaison between the finance business stakeholders and internal IT teams. This collaborative effort is essential for driving continuous improvement and delivering best-in-class solutions that empower our finance operations. You will facilitate clear communication, manage expectations, and ensure that IT solutions are well-understood and effectively adopted by the business.
• • You will lead and support the Core Financials modules, including but not limited to General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Cash Management, and Fixed Assets. This deep dive into specific modules requires a thorough understanding of their functionalities and interdependencies.
• • A significant part of your role will involve gathering and meticulously analyzing business requirements. You will then translate these requirements into detailed functional designs, system configurations, and comprehensive documentation, ensuring that all solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with business needs.
• • You will be responsible for configuring and supporting critical financial setups. This includes, but is not limited to, the chart of accounts, accounting calendars, ledgers, subledger accounting configurations, and other foundational elements of our financial system.
• • Collaboration with technical teams is paramount. You will work closely with developers and other IT professionals on reports, integrations, data conversions, and custom extensions (RICE components), ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.
• • You will actively support period close activities, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that financial results are accurate, timely, and compliant with all relevant standards.
• • Troubleshooting functional issues is a key aspect of the role. You will diagnose and resolve problems efficiently, providing ongoing production support to maintain optimal system performance and stability.
• • Leading testing efforts, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination and go-live support, will be essential for successful implementations and enhancements. You will ensure that solutions meet business needs and are ready for production deployment.
