- • Operate over-the-road (OTR) bulk trucks and local straight trucks to deliver materials safely and on schedule, planning routes based on weather, haul distance, and delivery timelines.
- • Transport hazardous materials in full compliance with Arxada policy and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- • Maintain all vehicle equipment, including safety systems, to meet Arxada and DOT standards for operational readiness.
- • Utilize GPS, onboard navigation systems, and other tools to proactively adjust routes for optimal fuel efficiency and timely deliveries.
- • Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as adding oil, fuel, and fluids to ensure continuous and safe vehicle operation.
- • Ensure all deliveries are completed with precision, contributing to Arxada’s commitment to operational excellence and reliable logistics.
- • Adhere to strict safety protocols and regulatory compliance standards while on the road, demonstrating initiative in planning and adapting to changing conditions.
- • Work on a schedule that guarantees Friday and Saturday at home every week, providing consistent time off for rest and personal commitments.
- • Support Arxada’s global operations by transporting critical materials used in Microbial Control Solutions (MCS) and Nutrition, Care & Environmental (NCE) product lines.
- • Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to ensure seamless coordination of load pickups, deliveries, and documentation.
- • Maintain accurate delivery logs, inspection reports, and compliance records as required by DOT and company policy.
- • Pass and maintain a valid DOT physical to remain eligible for driving duties.
- • Represent Arxada professionally during customer interactions and at delivery sites, upholding the company’s standards for safety and reliability.
- • Contribute to a culture of accountability, grit, and teamwork by taking ownership of each load and ensuring timely, compliant execution.
- • Adapt to varying weather, traffic, and route conditions while maintaining focus on safety and schedule adherence.
- • Utilize company-provided navigation and tracking systems to optimize delivery efficiency and communication with dispatch.
🎯 Requirements
- • High school diploma or GED required
- • 3+ years of experience as an over-the-road driver
- • Valid US passport (or eligible to obtain one within first 30 days)
- • Hazmat and bulk endorsements
- • TWIC card
- • Ability to pass required DOT physical
