- • As an Outbound Sales Development Representative at Watershed Technology, Inc., you will play a critical role in accelerating the company’s mission to drive enterprise-wide climate action by identifying and engaging large organizations ready to adopt sustainability solutions. Your work will directly contribute to Watershed’s growth by building a qualified pipeline in key markets, helping shape the early sales playbook, and positioning the company as a trusted advisor in the rapidly evolving ESG and decarbonization landscape.
- • Day to day, you will execute a data-driven prospecting strategy to open doors with target enterprise accounts across North America, leveraging tools and research to identify key stakeholders and initiate meaningful conversations. You will inspire action by articulating the urgency of climate initiatives and demonstrating how Watershed’s platform enables audit-ready reporting, science-based target setting, and supply chain decarbonization. You will communicate with expertise, blending product knowledge with climate literacy to educate prospects on carbon removal, clean energy transitions, and regulatory frameworks like CSRD, ensuring each interaction builds trust and positions Watershed as a strategic partner. You will take extreme ownership of your pipeline and process, continuously refining outreach tactics, improving lead quality, and collaborating with marketing and sales teams to optimize messaging and conversion. You will deepen your expertise in climate science and ESG trends, becoming a go-to resource for both internal teams and external prospects navigating complex decarbonization pathways.
- • You will join a mission-driven, fast-growing startup with a global presence, headquartered in San Francisco and backed by strong investor support, where cross-functional collaboration and innovation are central to the culture. - • In this role, you will develop advanced skills in enterprise sales development, consultative communication, and climate literacy, gaining hands-on experience in selling complex B2B solutions to Fortune 500 and Global 2000 companies. You will accelerate your professional growth by working closely with seasoned sales leaders, receiving real-time feedback, and contributing to a scalable sales engine—positioning yourself for rapid advancement into full-cycle sales, sales leadership, or climate-focused business roles within Watershed or the broader sustainability tech sector.
🎯 Requirements
- • 1-3 years of experience in sales, sales development, or business development with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota and activity goals.
- • Demonstrated ability to take extreme ownership of customer interactions and processes, with a history of improving systems, workflows, or content in previous roles.
- • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- • Genuine interest in climate change, sustainability, or ESG topics, and a motivation to learn and educate others on decarbonization strategies, carbon accounting, and regulatory frameworks like CSRD.
- • Resilient, adaptable, and proactive mindset, thriving in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and comfortable with iterative learning and feedback.
- • Eligibility to work from Watershed’s San Francisco headquarters with the expectation of being in-office 4 days per week.
