📋 Description
- • The Outbreak Response Specialist provides technical support to strengthen national and subnational outbreak detection and response systems in Guatemala under the STRIDES Activity, working under the supervision of the Technical Director to design, coordinate, implement, and monitor outbreak preparedness and response activities aligned with the Global Health Security workplan.
- • Day to day, the Specialist provides technical leadership and implementation support for outbreak preparedness and response activities, guides the application of the 7-1-7 methodology, supports the review and updating of Rapid Response Team Operations Manuals and readiness kits, provides technical input to national guidelines and SOPs, coordinates specimen management and logistics during outbreaks, supports training of Rapid Response Teams on outbreak investigation and control, designs and implements tabletop exercises and drills, ensures timely production of technical documentation and reports, and coordinates with laboratory, surveillance, and Ministry of Health counterparts.
