- • Sell MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations) supplies and related products to an established portfolio of multi-family housing (apartment communities) customers to maintain and drive sales growth.
- • Operate as an Outside Sales Account Manager within the Kissimmee/Osceola County, Florida territory, requiring consistent personal vehicle use exceeding 20% of the average work week.
- • Prospect, acquire, and retain new multi-family housing accounts while expanding business with existing customers to meet or exceed annual sales goals.
- • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers across all levels of multi-family property management organizations.
- • Implement strategic plans to increase market presence and penetrate new opportunities within the assigned geographic territory.
- • Utilize handheld technology and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) to manage customer data, track sales activity, and report performance metrics.
- • Apply consultative selling and solution-selling techniques to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate product solutions.
- • Maintain in-depth knowledge of facilities products including hardware, electrical, lighting, and related MRO categories.
- • Attend monthly company-sponsored association meetings, local trade shows, and regional or national events to represent HD Supply and build industry presence.
- • Share market insights, competitor intelligence, and customer feedback with internal teams to inform sales strategies and product offerings.
- • Collaborate with leadership to analyze market trends and customer behavior, contributing to the development of targeted sales initiatives.
- • Ensure compliance with company policies, including passing a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check as a condition of employment.
- • Work in a field-based environment with regular exposure to moderate physical discomforts such as dust, fumes, or odors during site visits.
- • Perform duties requiring prolonged sitting, standing, or walking, with occasional lifting of materials weighing 8–20 pounds.
- • Travel occasionally (less than 10% of the time) for meetings, training, or events outside the primary territory.
- • May provide general guidance or training to junior support or professional personnel as needed.
- • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- • Resolve incomplete or inconsistent data in complex research or sales reporting scenarios.
- • Operate independently with minimal supervision, seeking guidance only on unusual or complex issues.
