Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own and grow a high-impact territory spanning Metro DC, Maryland, and Delaware for Quality Controls, a 30-year market leader in flow-control and process instrumentation. You’ll be the face of our brand to municipalities, consulting engineers, and general contractors who rely on our valves, gates, actuators, and instrumentation to keep critical water and wastewater infrastructure running.
- • Translate complex technical challenges into profitable solutions. You’ll consult on everything from valve sizing and material selection to SCADA integration and commissioning support, leveraging our stocked inventory and in-house engineering team to guarantee on-time delivery and performance.
- • Build and nurture a multi-stakeholder network. From plant-level operators to C-suite municipal buyers, you’ll cultivate trust through regular site visits, lunch-and-learns, and trade-show presence, turning one-time orders into long-term framework agreements.
- • Drive strategic revenue growth. Using our CRM and Microsoft 365 stack, you’ll map account potential, forecast quarterly pipelines, and collaborate with inside sales to craft winning bids that routinely exceed margin targets.
- • Champion new technologies. Represent cutting-edge manufacturers at local and national training events, then bring those insights back to your territory via lunch-and-learns, pilot programs, and co-authored white papers that position QC as the go-to innovation partner.
- • Exhibit and present at key industry forums—WEFTEC, AWWA, local MEA events—showcasing live demos of actuated valve packages and IoT-enabled instrumentation that reduce OPEX for treatment plants.
- • Provide hands-on field support. When a 36-inch plug valve fails at 2 a.m., you’re the first call—coordinating with service techs, expediting parts from our warehouse, and ensuring the plant is back online before morning shift change.
- • Mentor and project-manage. Serve as the quarterback between inside sales, applications engineering, and logistics to ensure every PO ships complete and on time, while coaching junior reps on consultative selling techniques.
- • Deliver crisp monthly reporting. Translate field intel into actionable dashboards—competitive wins/losses, emerging specs, budget cycles—so leadership can adjust inventory and pricing strategies in real time.
- • Travel up to 20 % overnight across the tri-state region and occasionally to partner factories in the Midwest or Southeast for deep-dive product training and certification programs.
- • Thrive in a remote-first culture that prizes autonomy. You’ll manage your calendar, route planning, and customer prioritization while staying tightly aligned with a collaborative team that meets virtually each morning to share market insights.
- • Enjoy uncapped commission. Your base of $80k–$120k is just the starting point; accelerators kick in above 100 % quota, and Presidents Club winners earn five-figure bonuses plus an all-expenses-paid trip for two.
