  • • Farel Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Outsourced Recruiter to spearhead a critical, short-term hiring initiative in Japan. As a US-based startup revolutionizing the airline industry with a cutting-edge operating system, Farel is backed by prominent Silicon Valley VCs and Y Combinator. Our innovative platform consolidates inventory, dynamic pricing, reservations, operations, and customer-facing applications into a single, unified solution, effectively replacing outdated legacy PSS software.   • • In this pivotal role, you will operate as an external recruiter on an outsourcing basis, working directly with Farel's CEO and COO. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the entire recruitment lifecycle for a diverse range of roles, encompassing both highly technical positions within engineering and product, as well as crucial non-technical roles in sales and operations. This engagement is designed to be results-driven and requires a proactive individual who can hit the ground running, function with a high degree of autonomy, and consistently deliver successful hires. You will be instrumental in scaling our team efficiently and effectively.
  • • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include owning the full-cycle hiring process from end to end. This involves proactively sourcing exceptional candidates through various channels such as LinkedIn, professional communities, employee referrals, and niche industry platforms. You will meticulously screen applications, conduct insightful interviews, and manage the offer negotiation and closing process for both technical and non-technical positions. A key aspect of your role will be to build and rigorously manage the hiring funnel. This includes establishing clear Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for each stage of the recruitment process, diligently tracking key metrics like time-to-hire, source effectiveness, and conversion rates. You will be expected to present data-driven insights and proactively propose strategic adjustments to optimize the funnel whenever performance deviates from expectations or bottlenecks are identified.
  • • Furthermore, you will be tasked with driving proactive outbound sourcing strategies, ensuring that Farel is consistently engaging with a strong pipeline of potential candidates rather than passively waiting for inbound applications. This involves actively identifying and reaching out to high-caliber individuals who align with our company's needs and culture. You will also play a crucial role in elevating our recruitment processes by identifying opportunities for improvement. This includes refining interview frameworks, developing robust scoring rubrics, optimizing our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) setup, and creating standardized offer templates. Documenting successful strategies and processes, while discontinuing ineffective ones, will be essential for continuous improvement. A paramount focus will be placed on delivering an exceptional and consistent candidate experience. Every candidate, irrespective of their application outcome, must receive clear, professional, and constructive feedback, ensuring Farel maintains a positive and reputable employer brand.
