📋 Description
- • The Pampangan Interpreter role at LanguageLine Solutions is a remote, independent contractor position that enables bilingual individuals to use their language skills to break communication barriers for limited-English speakers and the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing across critical sectors such as healthcare, emergency services, government, and business.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include responding promptly to on-demand interpreting sessions, accurately rendering meaning between Pampangan and English speakers, maintaining professionalism and cultural sensitivity, handling emotionally charged or high-stress calls (including 911 and medical emergencies), and adhering to strict interpretation protocols without omissions or additions.

🎯 Requirements
- • Fluency in Pampangan and English with understanding of cultural dynamics
- • Ability to remain neutral, objective, and detached during sensitive or emotionally charged calls
- • High school diploma or equivalent and legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- • Access to a quiet, secure workspace and a personal device (desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone) meeting technical specifications
- • Minimum internet speeds: 5 Mbps download, 3 Mbps upload, ping ≤300 ms, jitter ≤30 ms
- • Ability to type/write and operate keyboard/mouse for extended periods
