Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • The Paralegal role at Agent Inc. is a strategic, high-impact position supporting a U.S.-based civil litigation and appellate practice, where you will serve as a critical partner in managing the full litigation lifecycle—from discovery to trial preparation—ensuring precision, compliance, and client satisfaction in a fully remote, fast-paced environment.
  • • This role matters because you will directly contribute to the firm’s reputation for rigorous, intelligent advocacy by handling complex legal tasks with autonomy and integrity, allowing attorneys to focus on high-level strategy while you ensure no detail is overlooked in high-stakes matters.
  • • Day to day, you will assist with all phases of litigation including drafting discovery requests and responses, preparing initial disclosures, and organizing exhibits for use in hearings and depositions.
  • • You will act as the primary point of contact for clients, gathering necessary documents and information while clearly explaining the purpose behind requests to ensure client cooperation and compliance with legal obligations.
  • • You will conduct initial e-discovery and document review using platforms like Goldfinch or Next Point, performing tagging, confidentiality checks, and preparing materials for attorney review.
  • • You will maintain case files, track critical deadlines, and manage workflows within Clio and Microsoft 365 to ensure timely progression of matters and avoid procedural defaults.
  • • You will utilize document automation tools such as TXdocs to generate first drafts of Texas-specific legal forms and templates, improving efficiency and consistency in routine filings.
  • • You will help investigate and organize the factual foundation of each case—identifying key players, events, timelines, and locations—to ensure attorneys are fully prepared for depositions, hearings, and trial.
  • • You will serve as a professional liaison between clients, opposing counsel, and court staff, maintaining clear, timely, and courteous communication throughout the litigation process.
  • • The team operates as a lean, high-integrity civil litigation and appellate practice within a firm that values strategic thinking over shortcuts, emphasizing intelligent advocacy for professionals, entrepreneurs, and businesses across complex legal matters.
  • • The company prides itself on a culture of excellence, where integrity, proactive problem-solving, and meticulous attention to detail are not just expected but celebrated as core to delivering superior legal outcomes.
  • • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in U.S. civil litigation procedures, particularly in Texas state and federal courts, while mastering industry-standard legal tech platforms like Clio, Westlaw/LexisNexis, and e-filing systems.
  • • You will sharpen your ability to anticipate legal needs, manage complex workflows independently, and propose solutions—skills that position you for advancement into senior paralegal, legal operations, or even law school pathways.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (any country)
  • • Minimum of three years of experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, or executive assistant in a U.S. law firm, with specific background in litigation and disputes
  • • Exceptional English proficiency (C1/C2 level), with comfort speaking and writing for U.S.-based clients and opposing counsel
  • • Proficiency in Clio (or similar practice management software), e-filing (state/federal/CM-ECF), and Microsoft Office Suite
  • • Strong legal research skills using Westlaw/LexisNexis and ability to cite-check legal briefs
  • • Proven ability to work autonomously, prioritize multiple high-priority tasks, and maintain extreme attention to detail
  • • Proactive, self-starter mindset with initiative to communicate and act without prompting
  • • Highly organized and systematic approach to managing complex responsibilities and anticipating needs

  • • Opportunity to work on high-stakes civil litigation and appellate cases for a reputable U.S. law firm with a culture of integrity and excellence
  • • Exposure to advanced legal technology platforms including Clio, Goldfinch/Next Point, TXdocs, and e-filing systems
  • • Professional growth through hands-on experience in U.S. litigation procedures, document drafting, and client management in a fast-paced, intellectually stimulating environment
