  • • Join Human Interest, a high-growth fintech company on a mission to ensure that people in all lines of work have access to retirement benefits. We are fundamentally changing the retirement industry by making it affordable and accessible for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to offer their employees a path to financial independence through retirement savings, addressing the critical gap where over half of working Americans are not saving enough for their future.
  • • As a Partner Account Manager in Vermont, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our reach and accelerating our growth by cultivating and strengthening relationships with key strategic partners. This is a unique opportunity to drive significant impact within a mission-driven organization that is backed by prominent investors such as Marshall Wace, Baillie Gifford, BlackRock, TPG (The Rise Fund), SoftBank, and Glynn Capital.
  • • Your primary responsibility will be to engage, build, and develop Human Interest’s key accounts and growth opportunities within the SMB ecosystem. We are seeking a forward-thinking, meticulously organized, and self-motivated sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will be instrumental in helping us exponentially reach more small and medium businesses across the United States, which is essential to our company’s continued success and expansion.
  • • This role demands a proactive, creative individual who can exercise discretion and judgment to develop innovative solutions independently. You will be responsible for nurturing and expanding referral relationships with a diverse range of partners, including technology partners, human capital management (HCM) partners, benefit brokers, Certified Public Accountants (CPAs), and financial advisors who serve the SMB market.
  • • You will proactively identify and resolve emerging issues, collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams such as Sales, Product, Marketing, Legal, and Finance to ensure seamless partner experiences and operational efficiency. Your ability to work effectively across departments will be crucial in providing timely and effective solutions.
  • • A key aspect of this role involves collaborating closely with the Partner Marketing team to innovate and execute unique initiatives that drive partner sales. This includes developing and promoting co-marketing efforts such as educational events, targeted email campaigns, and informative webinars designed to generate leads and foster deeper engagement.
  • • You will work directly with partners to establish clear business goals and performance metrics, including the depth of their sales pipeline and revenue generation. Based on these insights, you will develop and execute effective go-to-market strategies and demand-generation activities tailored to each partnership, ensuring mutual success and growth.
  • • This position requires you to build and amplify strategic referral networks, focusing on identifying new partnership opportunities and creating a robust pipeline of qualified leads. Your strategic thinking and networking skills will be vital in expanding our market presence.
  • • You will be expected to manage and solve operational partnership issues, demonstrating a solutions-oriented mindset and a willingness to actively engage in problem-solving. Your resilience and resourcefulness will be key in overcoming challenges and ensuring partner satisfaction.
  • • Success in this role hinges on your ability to foster trust and advocate passionately for Human Interest's mission. Your extraordinary communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong, lasting relationships with partners, who will sense your genuine belief in our product and purpose.
  • • You will contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and growth, embracing feedback and holding yourself accountable for achieving ambitious goals. Your ability to absorb training and guidance, and then successfully implement and execute, will be highly valued.
  • • This is a remote role, but requires you to be located in either Albany, New York, Vermont, or New Hampshire, and to be in the field approximately 3 days per week to engage with partners directly.
  • • By joining Human Interest, you will be part of a team that is tackling one of the country's biggest challenges – closing the retirement gap. You'll be instrumental in architecting and scaling solutions that bring financial security to employees at small and medium-sized businesses nationwide. We offer a unique opportunity to solve complex problems, drive innovation, and advance your career alongside a dedicated, mission-driven team that values hard work and recognizes the critical contributions of its employees.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 2+ years of experience building, developing, and maintaining relationships with tech and human capital management (HCM) partners, benefit brokers, CPAs, and financial advisors in the SMB space (including territory sales and business development).
  • • Proven track record of success in a quota-driven sales environment.
  • • Must be located in either Albany, New York, Vermont, or New Hampshire.
  • • Ability to be in the field 3 days/week.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • A great 401(k) plan: Our own! Includes a dollar-for-dollar employer match up to 4% of compensation (immediately vested) and $0 plan fees.
  • • Top-of-the-line health plans, as well as dental and vision insurance.
  • • Competitive time off and parental leave.
  • • Monthly work-from-home stipend; quarterly lifestyle stipend.
  • • Engaging team-building experiences, ranging from virtual social events to team offsites, promoting collaboration and camaraderie.
