📋 Description

  • **Shape the Future of PostHog's Growth: Become Our Partnership Wrangler**
  • At PostHog, we're on a mission to empower companies to build the world's most successful products. We provide the operating system for product builders, from their inception to their IPO and beyond. Our journey began with open-source product analytics, fueled by Y Combinator's W20 cohort, and has rapidly expanded to encompass a suite of powerful products including a built-in data warehouse, a customer data platform, and PostHog AI. Our roadmap continues to grow, with upcoming CRM, workflow, revenue analytics, and support products, reinforcing our commitment to being the all-in-one solution for product development. We are a product-led company with over 100,000 installations, driven by strong product-market fit and backed by over $100 million in funding from top-tier investors. We are default alive, experiencing consistent revenue growth, and are strategically funded to accelerate our ambitious journey.
  • We are a globally distributed, full-remote team operating between GMT-5 and GMT+2, fostering a culture of transparency, autonomy, rapid shipping, and a healthy dose of weirdness. Our public handbook details our roadmap, compensation, strategy, and working practices, ensuring everyone has the context to make impactful decisions. We champion autonomy, allowing individuals and teams to choose their most impactful work, with engineers often leading product teams and making key product decisions. Our commitment to shipping fast is embedded in our DNA, with small, autonomous teams of highly skilled engineers outperforming larger companies through end-to-end product ownership. We prioritize heads-down building time, defaulting to async communication (PRs > Issues > Slack) and designating Tuesdays and Thursdays as meeting-free days to maximize productivity. Ambition drives us; we aim for the best possible upside, believing that striving for ambitious goals, even with occasional misses, is superior to never trying. Our unique approach to 'being weird' is a competitive advantage, manifesting in bold product decisions and a fun, innovative work environment.
  • *The Opportunity: Build a New Revenue Frontier**
  • We are seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial **Partnership Wrangler** to establish and scale partnerships as a completely new and significant revenue channel for PostHog. This is a foundational role where you will have the autonomy to define, build, and execute our partnership strategy from the ground up. You will be instrumental in identifying, cultivating, and managing strategic alliances that drive mutual growth and expand PostHog's reach and impact.
  • *Your Impact and Responsibilities:**
  • **Strategic Partnership Identification and Development:** Proactively identify and evaluate potential partnership opportunities across various categories, including implementation agencies, cloud marketplaces (e.g., AWS), and integration partners (e.g., Vercel, Replit). You will conduct thorough market research, assess strategic fit, and prioritize opportunities that align with PostHog's growth objectives and product vision.
  • **End-to-End Partnership Lifecycle Management:** Lead the entire partnership lifecycle, from initial outreach and defining the scope of collaboration to negotiating complex commercial terms. This includes structuring agreements such as revenue shares, co-sell motions, and enterprise-level partnerships, ensuring they are mutually beneficial and drive tangible results.
  • **Commercial Negotiation and Deal Structuring:** Masterfully negotiate commercial agreements, understanding the nuances of revenue sharing, co-selling strategies, and the intricacies of enterprise-level partnerships. Your goal will be to secure deals that unlock significant revenue potential for both PostHog and our partners.
  • **Partner Enablement and Success:** Champion the success of our partners by developing and implementing comprehensive enablement programs. This will involve creating tailored sales training, technical education, and potentially certification pathways to ensure partners are well-equipped to represent and implement PostHog solutions effectively.
  • **Hands-On Co-Marketing and Revenue Generation:** Drive impactful co-marketing initiatives that translate into measurable revenue. This includes conceptualizing and executing joint go-to-market strategies, creating compelling co-branded content, developing case studies that highlight partner success, and managing campaign execution in alignment with the PostHog brand.
  • **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Work closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure seamless integration of partnership initiatives. You will act as the central point of contact for partners, facilitating communication and ensuring alignment across internal stakeholders.
  • **Process Innovation and Iteration:** As a 'doer' in true PostHog fashion, you will not just manage but actively build and iterate on the processes required for partnership success. This includes developing onboarding motions, refining co-marketing playbooks, and establishing internal workflows that support scalable partnership operations.
  • **Performance Tracking and Optimization:** Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for partnerships, track progress against goals, and continuously analyze data to identify areas for improvement and optimization. You will use insights to refine strategies and maximize the ROI of our partnership program.
  • **Represent PostHog:** Serve as a key ambassador for PostHog in partner discussions, articulating our value proposition, product vision, and partnership philosophy with clarity and enthusiasm.
  • This is a unique opportunity to build a critical growth engine for a fast-growing, innovative company. If you are a strategic thinker with a hands-on, execution-oriented mindset and a passion for building successful partnerships, we encourage you to apply.
  • *What You Won't Be Doing:**
  • ❌ Coordinating complex integration builds – Engineering teams own this technical aspect.
  • ❌ Hosting generic, low-impact webinars or engaging in purely ceremonial partnership activities.
  • ❌ Focusing solely on program management; your role is to strategize, execute, and drive results, not just manage a pipeline.
  • We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment. If you have a disability and require any accommodations during the interview process, please let us know. We are happy to make adjustments to ensure a comfortable and equitable experience for all candidates.

About PostHog Inc.

PostHog provides an open-source product analytics platform that lets teams track user behavior, run A/B tests, and gather feedback without sending data to third parties. The self-hosted or cloud service captures events, pageviews, feature flags, and session recordings, then surfaces insights through dashboards, funnels, retention, and cohort analysis. Engineers can instrument code once and non-technical teammates can query results using SQL or visual builders. The company maintains the core project under an MIT license and offers paid tiers for enterprise support, higher volumes, and advanced features such as correlation analysis, data pipelines, and team collaboration tools.
