- • Serve as an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) to advance the mangrove-integrated mud crab business model in Indonesia, transitioning it from pilot to a commercially viable opportunity.
- • Develop project goals, success metrics, timelines, and decision points to guide the commercialization of the mangrove-mud crab strategy.
- • Conduct on-the-ground engagement with community-led nonprofits, aquaculture innovators, and supply-chain partners to validate assumptions, build trust, and uncover operational realities beyond formal reporting.
- • Critically assess three structural bottlenecks: ecological evidence linking mangroves and mud crab production; supply chain fragmentation and equitable market access for producers; and the incentive structure for mangrove conservation within aquaculture.
- • Bring an entrepreneurial perspective to a strategy currently driven by conservation and livelihoods-focused partners, generating innovative options for scaling, private-sector engagement, and market access.
- • Act as the primary conduit between in-country partners and global/local teams, closing time-zone and information gaps to translate field insights into actionable strategy and budget inputs.
- • Monitor and communicate project progress, manage risks and issues, and deliver written analyses, options memos, and recommendations to inform the 2027 work planning cycle.
- • Operate with high autonomy and flexibility, with regular two-way check-ins to ensure alignment, direction, and momentum.
- • Coordinate projects with multiple variables within defined timelines and budgets, including purchasing, invoice processing, vendor contracting, and budget preparation support.
- • Perform non-routine research, analysis, and follow-through to support strategic decision-making.
- • Handle confidential information with sensitivity and ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and legal/IRS regulations.
- • May supervise administrative or volunteer staff, including training and professional development.
- • Travel and work flexible hours as needed, including across international time zones and outside regular business hours.
- • Work in a dynamic environment where tasks may not always align with established practices, requiring adaptability and independent judgment.
- • Report directly to program leadership and contribute to improving existing programs through project team input.
- • This role is time-bound, with an expected duration of 8 weeks from start date, with potential for extension based on deliverables and funding.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of related experience or equivalent combination
- • Experience coordinating administrative processes
- • Experience generating reports and interpreting data
- • Demonstrated customer service skills with a customer-centered approach
- • Experience in business writing, editing, and proofreading
- • Experience organizing time and managing diverse activities to meet deadlines
