Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Serve as the primary connective tissue between Metriport and external partners including national healthcare networks, state HIEs, and laboratory data sources to expand and maintain the platform’s data ecosystem.
- • Build new partner relationships from scratch while independently managing an existing book of approximately 50 partners, ensuring sustained engagement and value delivery.
- • Act as the lead negotiator for complex partnership agreements, identifying friction points and transforming them into mutually beneficial arrangements that align with Metriport’s technical and business objectives.
- • Own the full partnership lifecycle: from initial outreach and contract negotiation through technical integration, ongoing maintenance, and performance evaluation.
- • Prioritize partnership opportunities ruthlessly based on impact, ensuring focus on the highest-value relationships that directly enhance patient data accessibility and care outcomes.
- • Conduct technical deep dives into partner data models and integration requirements to understand how they impact Metriport’s platform architecture and customer experience.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and customer success teams to align partnership goals with product roadmap and customer needs.
- • Translate partnership outcomes into measurable results that improve platform functionality, customer satisfaction, and organizational growth.
- • Operate with high autonomy: take ambiguous objectives, break them into actionable steps, identify efficient execution paths, and deliver results without oversight.
- • Maintain a deep understanding of healthcare interoperability standards and the U.S. healthcare IT landscape to inform partnership strategy and technical alignment.
- • Represent Metriport in external engagements with healthcare data providers, vendors, and industry stakeholders with professionalism and strategic clarity.
- • Uphold the Metriport mindset: low ego, high ownership—approach challenges with urgency, asking "Why can’t this be done in 3 days?" instead of accepting prolonged timelines.
- • Work from Metriport’s South Beach, San Francisco office; must be based in San Francisco or willing to relocate to fulfill in-office expectations.
- • Drive consistent, output-focused execution in a high-autonomy, engineering-heavy environment where bureaucracy is minimized and competence is prioritized over pedigree.
- • Balance sustainable intensity with personal accountability: work six days a week alongside founders, but craft your own schedule to maximize productivity and well-being.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of experience building partnerships with external parties from scratch and managing a book of approximately 50 partners
- • 3+ years of experience within the healthcare space, with specific experience in healthcare interoperability being a significant bonus
- • Proven track record of negotiating and managing complex contracts and vendor SLAs
- • Ability to work through hard problems with many constraints, using sound judgment to assess risks and lay out data-informed, structured arguments
- • Comfortable taking ambiguous objectives, breaking them down, aligning stakeholders, and executing independently
- • Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate to work from the South Beach office
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive equity + compensation package
- • Full family Platinum health insurance, dental, and vision coverage
- • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching
- • Flexible work from home or in-office options
- • Complimentary healthy lunches when in-office, with breakfast and dinners provided as needed
- • Quarterly company off-sites with the team
- • MacBook provided by the company
- • Unlimited PTO with trust-based time-off policy
