- • The Patients Record Technician role at Iron Mountain is vital to ensuring the accurate and timely processing of medical records within the Joint Pathology Information Management System (JPIMS), directly supporting the integrity of critical pathology data for healthcare and research purposes.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include managing case documentation by assigning cases to pathology subspecialties, applying unique identification numbers, updating electronic tracking systems, supporting repository operations through material location and audits, and maintaining quality and compliance via SNOMED coding, case reviews, and workstation organization.
- • You will join Iron Mountain’s Health Information Management team, part of a global leader in records and information management, digital transformation, and secure data storage, serving over 225,000 customers worldwide with a commitment to sustainability and innovation.
- • This role offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in medical records processing, gain hands-on experience with barcode systems and Windows-based database management, and develop compliance and quality assurance skills in a regulated healthcare environment, with potential for career growth within Iron Mountain’s operations division.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3-5 years of experience in a medical warehouse or medical records environment
- • Strong knowledge of Medical Records Processing, including screening/filing procedures, Anatomy, Physiology, and medical terminology
- • Proven ability in database management within a Windows-based environment and proficient use of barcode equipment for inventory tracking
- • High School Graduate or GED (required); Associates or Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- • Ability to obtain and maintain a T1 Investigation clearance
