- • As a Payer Contracting Manager at Amgen, you will play a critical role in supporting the company’s mission to serve patients by drafting and managing payer contracts that enable access to innovative medicines across oncology, inflammation, general medicine, and rare disease therapeutic areas.
- • Day to day, you will manage the full contract lifecycle for assigned national payer accounts, including drafting term sheets, RFP responses, rebate agreements, amendments, and notice letters; maintaining accurate contract data in the CLM system; facilitating document reviews; and project managing initiatives to ensure timely, accurate deliverables.
- • You will join Amgen’s US Value and Access (USV&A) team within Sales & Marketing Operations, a collaborative and science-driven organization dedicated to advancing patient access through strategic contracting and value-based agreements.
- • In this role, you will develop expertise in pharmaceutical contracting, healthcare reimbursement, and cross-functional collaboration, while contributing to Amgen’s goal of delivering innovative treatments that help patients live longer, fuller lives.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of contract development or contract writing experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience as outlined in basic qualifications)
- • Strong computer and Microsoft Word skills with high attention to detail
- • Ability to read, draft, edit, and understand legal contract documents
- • Familiarity with the US commercial and government healthcare and reimbursement environment
- • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent document requests
- • Previous experience writing contracts, ideally in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
