- • The Payroll Associate at Deel plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing for employees in Australia, directly supporting the company’s mission to provide seamless global payroll solutions. This role is foundational to maintaining trust and reliability in Deel’s platform, as even minor errors in payroll data can impact employee satisfaction and legal compliance across international borders.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in the processing of payroll data for employees, helping maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, verifying and reconciling employee information such as salaries, hours worked, and deductions, supporting Australian payroll tax calculations and filings, providing timely and empathetic support to employees regarding payroll inquiries and issues, and contributing to ongoing compliance with Australian payroll laws and regulations through meticulous attention to detail and adherence to internal controls.
- • Deel’s payroll and HR team operates as a globally distributed, high-performing unit within a fast-growing SaaS leader, where innovation in payroll technology meets deep local expertise. The team collaborates across time zones to ensure payroll accuracy for workers in over 150 countries, leveraging Deel’s fully owned payroll infrastructure and AI-powered tools to deliver compliant, scalable solutions while fostering a culture of continuous learning and inclusion.
- • In this role, you will develop specialized expertise in Australian payroll regulations and systems, gain hands-on experience with global payroll platforms, and build a strong foundation for advancement into senior payroll, compliance, or HR operations positions. 🎯 Requirements
- • High school diploma or equivalent
- • 1-3 years of experience in an Australian payroll support role
- • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with payroll systems and data entry tools
- • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive payroll data
- • Ability to maintain confidentiality and organizational discipline when managing employee records
- • Good verbal and written communication skills for assisting employees and collaborating with team members
