- • The Payroll Associate role at Deel is an entry-level position critical to ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing for Finnish employees, directly supporting the company’s mission to enable seamless global work by guaranteeing workers are paid correctly and on time, no matter their location.
- • This role contributes to Deel’s broader vision of building the infrastructure for the future of work by maintaining payroll integrity across 150+ countries, reinforcing trust in the platform for thousands of global clients relying on Deel for compliant, scalable payroll operations.
- • Assist in processing payroll data for Finnish employees, including inputting hours, salaries, bonuses, and adjustments into the payroll system with precision to avoid discrepancies.
- • Help maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS, ensuring all personal, contractual, and compensation data reflects current status and complies with Finnish labor regulations.
- • Verify and reconcile employee data such as salaries, hours worked, overtime, leave, and deductions (taxes, social security, pension) by cross-referencing source documents and system outputs to identify and resolve inconsistencies.
- • Assist with payroll tax calculations and filings specific to Finland, including preparing data for monthly and annual reporting to tax authorities and social security institutions under supervision.
- • Provide first-line support to employees for payroll-related inquiries via email or internal ticketing system, explaining payslip components, payment dates, and resolving common issues with empathy and clarity.
- • Help maintain compliance with Finnish payroll laws and regulations by staying updated on legislative changes, assisting in audit preparations, and ensuring all processes adhere to local statutory requirements.
- • About the team or company: You will join a diverse, globally distributed payroll operations team within Deel’s Finance and HR Services division, collaborating with peers across time zones to ensure 24/7 payroll continuity and knowledge sharing.
