- • This role is essential to maintaining trust and reliability in Deel’s global payroll infrastructure, which processed $11.2 billion in payments in 2024 alone, making precision and compliance non-negotiable for the company’s continued growth and reputation.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in the processing of payroll data for employees across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring all inputs are accurate and aligned with local requirements.
- • The associate will help maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal details, bank information, tax forms, and employment status, serving as a foundational element of payroll integrity.
- • A key duty involves verifying and reconciling employee data such as salaries, hours worked, overtime, bonuses, and deductions to identify and resolve discrepancies before payroll runs.
- • The role includes supporting payroll tax calculations and filings by gathering required data, validating tax codes, and assisting in preparation for submissions to local tax authorities.
- • The Payroll Associate will serve as a first point of contact for employees with payroll-related inquiries, providing clear, empathetic, and timely responses to questions about payslips, deductions, payment timing, and benefits.
- • They will help ensure ongoing compliance with evolving payroll laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements across Deel’s operating countries, monitoring changes and flagging risks to the payroll team.
- • Participation in special projects and process improvement initiatives is expected, such as testing new payroll system features, documenting workflows, or supporting automation efforts to enhance efficiency and scalability.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution
- • 1+ years of experience in payroll or a related field such as HR, accounting, or finance
- • Basic knowledge of payroll laws and regulations, including tax withholdings, statutory deductions, and filing requirements
- • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a proven ability to manage high-volume data entry without errors
- • Good communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining payroll concepts clearly to non-technical employees
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, pivot tables, and data validation for payroll reconciliation
